Annette slowly opened her eyes, now glowing a strong blue from the holy energy, purposefully taking strides into her chapel, before turning back around to face the creatures breaking through, tearing through the remaining planks keeping their rot from the priestess. Her hands pressed together once more, she concentrated her newfound powers as she plotted her next moves before these unprepared assailants broke through. Her fiery red hair flowed violently behind her as she channelled, as if the raw power of the wind itself lent itself to her cause.

With a mighty crunching noise, the last plank gave way and the maggot-ridden zombie fought its way through to enter the chapel first, clawing back the other two. As its rear rot-trailing foot finished passing through the threshold, Annette reversed her folded hands as she clawed outwards, motioning four beams of blue light to extend from all four of the creature's limbs to the walls, pulling tight, immobilising it completely and blocking the entrance once more as the undead arms reached around. It released a horrible guttural roar as its holy chains began to purify the corrupt flesh of the beast from its bones as the maggot inhabitants fell curled up dead, down onto the stone slabs beneath.

Powerful radiance passed through the remaining flesh on the zombie until a skeletal body remained, which the undead behind put enough **** against to break the torso from the other connecting joints, sending the bones connected that were restrained with blue light flying against the walls, cracking against the wood before tumbling to the floor.

The two fresh undead charged Annette with lustful fury as she redirected the holy energy into countering their **** while stepping back further into the chapel. The azure light flew from the entrance to the simple chandelier above them, illuminating each candle with a bright blue flame as it cast down upon the two undead below it with enough intensity to start the purification process on their bodies too. The zombie closest to Annette had just enough time to sprint from the light, tackling the priestess, sending her body off-balance and tumbling back into the granite altar a few meters behind her. The priestess looked up, remaining expressionless since the fight started and ignoring the pain reverberating through her body. She calmly placed her pale hands on the icy cheeks of the corpse now leaning over her at the base of the altar, exhaling its rancid breath in her face and roaring yellowish spittle over her, but still she smiled sweetly at it and with two voices, she echoed;

"Be not a **** to your desires any longer. Salvation is waiting for you above."

Before the zombie was able to act, the blue embers beamed down to the slabs below, streaking light through the gaps between the stone as it raced to the back of the chapel. The light coursed through Annette's body and up through her palms, causing the creature to glow brightly as she steadily cleansed the decay off its skull and down through the rest of its lifeless body.

With the fight over, the blue energy withdrew from her eyes and with an exhausted sigh her head fell forwards, ****, her body stiff and her mana completely drained. She could rest easy now though, as her goddess had pardoned her sins and guided her in her hour of need.
