Chapter 373

The Other Guy
I mean what are the chances people would be freaking out? And is it really your job to calm them, Aurora is the Queen after all.
Yeah not your job
"If Aurora wants to talk she'll send someone." You say settling your head back onto Clare's lap.
"Wow look at you, not running to look check in with someone." Clare strokes your hair with a smirk on her face and you roll your eyes. "Oh don't pout," she kisses your forehead, "now, hand, mouth or tits?" The seriousness with which she asked that **** a laugh out of you.
"Mouth." You said after a bit of thought. Clare smiled at you and spun you, letting your top half float in the water while she set your butt onto her lap. She lent down and warped her lips around you, bobbing her head up and down quickly. A hand moved to massage your balls while she worked her mouth as a tight seal. "Going fast?" You ask between soft gasps of pleasure.
She pops off your cock and gives you a flat look while teasing your balls. "Don't want to keep Asune waiting do you?" She asked politely waiting for your confirmation. When you nodded in acknowledgement with a self satisfied grin she lowered her lips back onto your cock.
A quick blowjob followed. No extended drawn out pleasure she was just working on getting what was in you into her as quickly as possible. And quick it wasn't, you don't think your lasted a minute until you came in her mouth. You felt her slide down until your tip entered her throat while your cum pumped out. Her mouth didn't let a drop go to waste and when she pulled back she swallowed. "Good boy," she spun your head back into her lap, "now go see your scary girlfriend."
You laughed and reached up to stroke her cheek. "Going to take some getting used to." You said lowering your right stump and reaching up with your left. "Gabrielle can't recover fast enough." You got out of the pool and gave Clare a kiss. "What are you going to be doing?"
"I'll be babysitting Delilah to prevent any more, nuclear meltdowns." Her glibness made you feel better about that honestly. She leaves the pool and throws you your towel. You both dry off and head to your changing rooms. "Hey," you stopped and looked over at her. "You ok?"
You looked at your missing arm, "Might just need more of a hand in the future." You replied but didn't get a smirk in response. "Kinda wishing I'd thought to know the dagger away before cutting off my hand, but Delilah's back in control so, I'm good." Clare raised an eyebrow. "We're linked right, I seem ok to you?" Clare looked at you for a moment longer but you were confident. Aside from your hand you were fine, Delilah was back, you're healed up, and no one was killed. "Are you ok?"
"My other half almost died and had his hand cut off, and is now acting like everything is fine. I'm worried." Clare said bluntly.
"I'm fine really. It's not like this is permanent. Also, I think this means I've won my first fight." You add a hint of pride to the end of that, it might be a debatable grey zone if anyone wanted to quibble but Eve didn't kill you and you got her back, that's a win to you.
Clare chewed her lip for a moment before smiling warmly. "Good boy, now lets hope Asune doesn't take off your other hand, or a leg, for not getting hurt without her permission, or help." She winked at you and ducking into her changing room.
You went into your and put on your uniform. There were no classes aside from Stephanie's, how is she going to react to you down a limb ... she's going to rap your left hand for losing it isn't she.
Feeling a pang of discomfort in what is no longer present right hand you add making a mirror box to your list of things to do. Your right hand is starting to feel like you're keeping it in a fist. Phantom limb pain, who'da thought you'd get to experience that.
Outside of the bath you find Clare and give her a quick kiss, holding her hand as you go to the front door you give her a look and wave your stump. "Are you going to be playing the 'missing a hand' card to get me to do something for you forever?"
"I am considering delaying the assisted regrowing to milk this for a while." You say back as she opens the door, making sure to give your most kicked puppy expression. She laughs and kisses you, moving you hand up and putting it on her boob.
"That does mean only one boob grab at a time."
You stared at your hand for a moment. "Can I help Gabrielle recover any faster?" You both laughed. Heading towards the end of the Dorming building you are about to go your separate way. You to the training arena, her to the remains of the estate.
"The field hospital is down by the gate so the staffs family can visit, Gabrielle is down there." Clare advised before giving you a parting kiss to head your separate ways. You admire her ass for a moment before walking towards the training arena.
You can hear the sound of swords clashing as you approach. Stephanie was indeed still working everyone over. Arriving you see Mary's personal guard were present as well, divided up to mentor those Stephanie assigned to train. Everyone was here except for Anastasia of course.
At your arrival most of the fights stopped. Asune turned to face you putting her opponent to her back. You saw a split second decision to attack Asune's undefended state before instant reconsideration. Not a bad decision as you see Asune is a bit disappointed by not having to defend herself.
"Hey Asune." You wave your right hand on accident. "This might take a while." You lower the missing hand and raise your left. "All fine aside from them hand."
She walked over to you and grabbed your stump gently. "Does it hurt?" She asked studying the healed over skin closely.
"No just kinda feels, weird, like forgetting its missing." You explain simply.
"Who did it?" She kept studying and you checked her aura, anger was beginning to grow in it, the most emotion you'd ever seen in it.
"Me." You said. "Ah, Vatarie." You call her over. She'd kept an eye on you but let you and Asune have a private moment. When you called her she darted over. Her opponent didn't even consider attacking her, less they end up worse than you are.
You take both girls away from everyone else and explain what happened as best you can. They don't have close to the level of magical understanding that Clare has so you can't go into great detail. Though you make sure they accept that Delilah isn't at fault, and neither is Gabrielle. Asune takes a moment to accept it but does agree after you prod her a bit more.
"Are you three done yet?" Stephanie calls out, staying a respectful distance away from the three of you. The three of you nod. "Then you two back to sparing, Vatarie you're still wasting too much magic in reinforcement and Asune you're still dropping your guard to freely." Asune and Vatarie nod and leave the two of you. Stephanie watches them leave and walks over to you raising her wooden sword she tapped your stump. "I saw." It was all she said for a few seconds. "Did you train with your left hand?"
"Only a little. Yeven Coas insisted."
"Then you best get practicing." She turned and walked away without hesitation or second thought. You did lose an arm, a little sympathy would be appreciated. "And remember if I win, I expect you to hold up your end of our deal."
You felt a pang of very serious concern. You remember that deal, if you lose you end your other relationships and only stay with her. You look at your stump. Ok now you are no so ok with losing an arm, Gabrielle will recover before Mary leaves, right?
You might need to go and check up on that. Turning on your head you hurry to the field hospital were all the injured are, down by the front gate.
It's easy to spot. Airborne it just looked like a lot of people had gathered around but on the ground you can see people were in beds and concerned family were around. They see you approach and most have a complex reaction. The family members see a noble who they shouldn't interfere with but the staff see a familiar face who while a noble is weird around them, always thanking them for services and saying hello.
"Hi." You say broadly to everyone. The worried reaction is smoothed over when what you assume is a nurse hurries over asking how she can help.
When you tell them you are actually here to help them you earn a 'trying really hard to not be condescending to a noble' response, "My Lord, we already have men providing magic."
Oh right most people don't actually know who you are outside of your very small circles. "Actually I,"
"He can help." A familiar voice calls out. You look over to see Farrah, now wearing a lot more sensible, less see through clothes. "Christopher," She bows at you, "please I'll show you to those who need the most help."
You don't say anything about the bow since she is actually helping you at the moment. "Thank you Mother." You aren't sure you should have used her religious term here but too late now. As you walk you see a few faces that look vaguely familiar and how they nod to Farrah suggests you recognise them from her church.
Farrah takes to you a slightly more empty area and to the people laying in bed. Most have bandages on their arms and of a lot more concern to you right now, a few have splinters still inside their limbs. This was a lot more damage than you thought. "She is the most in danger." Farrah says, stopping by a bed with a woman in it.
The woman in question has a bandage around her head and right arm with a glass shard in her leg. "What the fuck Clare?" You ask under your breath as Farrah motions for you to sit on the bed.
"Who are you?" The woman asks blinking at you.
"He's here to help, trust him." Farrah says stroking the woman's hand.
Aura sharing and returning to speed up recovery. Should work you think, in theory. You fixed a genetic error and you were planning on fixing your arm in the same way.
"Yeah, I'm here to help." You say warmly. You need her to open her aura up to you so you guess you should start getting her to trust you. Unlike a church service there is no default openness here, the opposite actually, you're a stranger and she is wounded.
Start with the basics. Doctors got patients to trust them, and Farrah is here already so that's something to build on. You sit with the woman for almost half an hour before you feel her aura open. Absorbing it, you get a surprisingly detailed understanding of her wounds. Concussion, features in her leg and some superficial wounds. Most of her magic had been used to stop some internal bleeding and the bleeding from the glass in her leg.
Her leg can't heal with the glass in it so you grab a hold and as you return her aura with some of your magic you pull it out. the woman shouts in pain but the open wound heals over instantly. She sits up and looks at the wound and the glass in your hand. The expression of surprise and confusion make you smile warmly. "Feeling better?"
She blinks a few times and nods as Farrah takes her bandages off. "See all healed over. Thanks to," you flash Farrah a look thinking she was about to pull a Oriana and go preaching, "Lord Christopher." She doesn't seem to notice the look nor does she hesitate in say the non-religious title. "You're family is by the gate. My Lord we have other people to help."
Just call you Florence 'magic isn't cheating' Nightingale.
Reborn into Calitian
You are reborn into another world of magic and fantasy. How you live is your choice, the consequences are as well.
The world of Calitian is a world of magic whose sentient inhabitants vary from human to decidedly not. You are rather unexpectedly reborn into this world however you do not get the expected god delivered spiel about said rebirth so you are on your own. This should be interesting.
