Chapter 2
by Yabusa
Which company ends up with the only Phase Binder in existence?
Yabusa Robotics
During one of the tech conferences nearing the end of the flurry of events Yabusa had been scheduled to demonstrate Phase Binding at, an attempt was made by an agent suspected of having ties with King Enterprises to coerce three of the phasebound individuals--Lucy and her friends Ivy and Jamie, all of which had various Yabusa tech affixed to them--into stealing the technology on their behalf. Instead of complying, one of the three managed to get word to other Yabusa staff before any sort of heist could occur, providing just enough time to move the Phase Binder to an undisclosed location where nobody was able to recover it.
Sadly, by providing this early warning, the agent made good on a threat to kidnap Lucy, via some sort of remote control technology, as she vanished overnight. Vowing to not let their friend be lost forever, Ivy and Jamie left as well, in pursuit of the missing centaur-bot, taking their own equipment in the search: the Angel 800 convertible motorcycle frame that Ivy wore, and the Meteor X power armor used by Jamie.
With the main attractions AWOL and the news about the attempted heist dominating the conversations around Yabusa Robotics, the company cancelled all further events and turned their focus toward production of more Phase Binders, of machines that could be used by phasebound people, and all sorts of other accessories large and small to maximize phase binding usefulness to the greater public, particularly in the creation of medical devices. Yabusa continued to dream big, however, and cyborgs were the target.
In two short years, pilot programs began to spring up all around the test locations within Spiral City for some of the many Yabusa projects seeking wider adoption. While Yabusa Robotics hoped all these innovations would become commonplace and transform society as everyone knew it, they still had a long way to go with some of these pilot programs first! And with the Phase Binder's lead designer on a hunt for his daughter and her friends, that only complicated the matter further...
Finally, though, we can now determine who you are, and what innovative Yabusa technology either you, or someone you know, will be phasebound to. So, before going any further, what pilot program will you be attached to?
Which robotic design interests you for phase binding?

Phasebound
Combining people with machines, supernatural relics, strange beings, or other people!
Yabusa Robotics and Motors had always been behind Hideki Technology's innovative devices, but a new breakthrough in a non-surgical means of combining robots and people changed the course of the tech company almost overnight. With Phase Binding, skin and silicon can exist in the same area in space, miraculously developing a means of electronic and biological connections with intuitive control and unprecedented sensory feedback. Because the people and machines can occupy the same space without any ill effects, the functionality of the machines was maximized without diminishing the human within. Despite Yabusa's initial successes with combining people and robots, other companies set their sights on the tech. Shaw Sciences wants to stick people together, Hideki Corp would like to combine people and inhuman creatures together, and King Enterprises has a whole variety of supernatural relics they want to embed within a person. All they had to do was steal the Phase Bind device and put it to their own uses...
