X-Change Mirage

(A custom pill, designed specifically to change its taker into a specific predetermined model.)

The pill was designed to make the taker look like Cole’s favorite pornstar. Cole watched in horror as his friend downed the water, unable to explain the sheer insanity of what was about to happen.

“Hey man, you good? You look wild right now,” Adrian said, snapping Cole back to reality.

“Yeah, I’m…good, just really needed that water…”

“Good thing we got a filter, chief,” Adrian retorted with a smile before heading to his room. Cole’s gaze followed his friend like a hawk. “I thought the change was immediate,” Cole thought to himself, “Maybe because it’s a specific change, it takes longer.”

The rest of the evening was a nail biting affair for Cole as he and Adrian ordered some takeout and caught up on the latest Invincible episode. Not that Cole could enjoy the food or pay attention to the show as he kept checking his friend for any hint of transformation.

Toward the end of the night, Adrian felt strangely woozy and hollow, almost like a hangover. He kept quiet though and made small talk with Cole before heading off to bed.

Cole’s focused attention was pointless as he didn’t pick up on any hint of Adrian’s condition. He actually began believing that the pills he bought were fake and that he and Adrian would wake up tomorrow and have a big laugh about the whole situation.
