Nadia was comfortable in the black polo and office pants. The uniform of The Pony. Alice ran the place with one other person, but they were on holiday. They sat at the circular wooden table sipping on their teas and munching on ginger biscuits surrounded by Alice’s Lego sculptures.

“Ah. So that’s what happened?” Alice said.

Nadia had told her everything about Greg, Mark, and even Simon. Nadia was so emotionally frail that Alice’s inquisitive nature penetrated all the barriers.
