Wide Eyes

“Sara stop”, Mark sound loud and clearly.

“That’s it”, Katie exclaimed, wide eyed. “That’s all it takes to freeze someone.”

“Yep, Isabella was a perfect test subject.” Katie simply shook her head.

At the same time, Steven was inspecting the frozen Sara Wilson. “Wow”, was all he could say, and repeated this several times.

“She is all yours bud, and based on that note, no one will be looking for her.”

“Why, they’re just on a cruise”, Katie said skeptically.

Mark simply shrugged, “just a feeling.” Katie raised an eyebrow.

“So…” Steven said trying to break the awkward silence. He had already picked up Sara’s frozen body over his shoulder. “Any idea who you want to freeze Katie?”

“Actually yes, though I have a question for Mark first.”

“Yes”, Mark said over sarcastically, Katie rolled her eyes.

“Are you interested in getting another doll today?”

“I mean, I'm certainly not going to say no”, Mark said shrugging.

“Perfect. Then I know just the twins to freeze.”

“What?”

“Yep”, Katie said. She then scrunched her nose for a moment before kissing Mark on his, leaving him bewildered. “Come one slow pokes”, Katie said as she turned around and headed out with a perk in her step.

Make and Steven stood in Sara’s room a little longer blinking.

“What just happened?” A bewildered Mark said.

“I think….Katie might like you. And per the bro code, I have to help you in any way that I can.”

“Come on Romeo”, Steven said patting Mark’s shoulder as he exited out of the room carrying Sara. The girl simply stared at her admirers back the entire time as she was carried off to her new home.

Mark soon followed and got into Nadia Lawrence’s car, which they had borrowed while she was at the Buchanan’s house with her boyfriend Mitch. Katie gave Mark directions, and soon they were off.
