Why are they offering you a job now?

You have to confess you're tempted by the job offer. Sure it's a junior programmer job and the pay is less than you were making but how much money do you need now that Amber is out of your life. If you **** yourself to be honest you can see that she used you as a piggy-bank. Your paychecks were deposited into the 'joint' account. Hers, she kept. Without having to support her, you should be good. Maybe you and Jeremy can share a two bedroom apartment.

But you can't help wondering why they offered you a job now after shutting you down before. The only difference that you can see is that you were working on your stream. And if they need to shut down your stream so bad, that implies that you were onto something real.

Frankly, although the simulation theory always made logical sense to you, you didn't really buy into it emotionally. After all, you could see that the world is real, right? But getting a job offer from Amber says that you're onto something real.

And you aren't going to give it up.

You text Amber and let her know you'll think about the whole job thing but really, you don't plan to do any more thinking about it at all. You're going full-speed ahead with your stream... and you're going to figure out what they're so afraid of. After all, you made a promise to yourself that you'd get your **** on Amber and on the assholes at MicroStuff and whatever they're afraid of sounds like a good place to start.

Now, what do you need to do to make sure that the stream is a success and that you really can hack the sim?
