Chapter 80 by sexyslave sexyslave

How does Izuku do, and did Aizawa notice anything amiss?

Well enough, and Aizawa is mildly suspicious.

They started with the standard 50 meter dash, and Izuku began channeling One For All, starting with the minimum setting, and slowly moving it up. The previous all or nothing restriction was completely gone. He now had full control of the output. Eventually, he settled on what he estimated to be two percent. There was mild strain, but nothing he couldn't easily handle. When the start signal was given, he dashed forward, small green streaks of lightning streaking off of him. He scored at 4.98 seconds, which beat his old record by nearly three seconds.

"What the!?" Bakugo demanded, and Aizawa blinked as well, having been expecting Izuku to hurt himself or just not use his Quirk. Yet he saw that it seemed more focused and restrained than during the entrance exams, so had refrained from his own original plan to use his Quirk to stop him and lecture him.

Bakugo was about to storm up to Deku and demand answers, but Momo proceeded to prevent that by stopping down just as he was about to run by, making all-terrain roller skates on the ground, pretending not to see him. Naturally, he stepped on one, lost his balance, and gravity proceeded to introduce his face to the dirt ground in an all too intimate manner. "Oops! Sorry, didn't see you there! I thought it was someone else's turn, and was just prepping for mine~!" she said all too sweetly.

"Damn it, you little-!" Bakugo snarled, getting up. "You wanna die!?"

"Of old age, one day," Momo shrugged nonchalantly, acting like Bakugo's threat was a legitimate question. "What's that have to do with my apologizing for you tripping over my creation?"

"Knock it off, both of you," Aizawa glared at them, his Quirk active. "No **** against each other on this field, understood?"

"Yes, Sensei!" Momo replied. The remaining tests proceeded in a similar manner, with the students showcasing their Quirks, and Izuku keeping up well enough. Near the end, he risked pushing himself to three percent of One For All, which left him very sore, but still standing and well within his ability to recover on his own.

Aizawa continued to watch, wondering if something he had missed happened between Izuku and Momo. She shouldn't have been able to create anything to give him while he was using his Quirk on her, not a device, nor a **** that could have helped Izuku control his Quirk on any way, yet he couldn't shake the feeling he was missing something.

Still, it was only a suspicion, and likely an unfounded one at that. It was possible that they had simply exchanged encouraging words in private. And that Izuku had simply improved his control over his Quirk since the entrance Exam... Or perhaps he always had decent control since before then, and it was mere nerves that kept him from attacking anything before the Zero Pointer, at which point, the damage he inflicted on himself was due to him going all out against an opponent he needed to hit with everything he had.

Naturally, Aizawa had no way of knowing about the magic Momo had, nor about Izuku's Quirk not being one he was born with, not privy to those details about All Might, just that the Number One Hero had a skinny form and injuries that were slowly taking their toll on him, reducing the time he could fight per day. He made a mental note to review Izuku's past school records to see if something was afoot.

Regardless, the tests came to an end, and Bakugo was looking for an opportunity to question Izuku on how he got a Quirk out of the blue without interference from either Momo or Aizawa. "Right, it's too much of a hassle to go over your scores one by one, so I'll just put your placements up all at once," Aizawa said lazily, turning on a holographic screen from his phone, Izuku looking at it intently.

Is Izuku in last place in this one?
