Chapter 4 by Verdant_Hatchling Verdant_Hatchling

How does she respond to him?

Well, he IS a Demon.

“It’s my dad, he…” As the girl began to helplessly respond, she looked over, and saw the fearsome form of a Demon hovering over her, as she started screaming in tears, “NOO!! Don’t take him Demon! Don’t take him with you!”

As she cried out, **** for her father to stay, Scott’s heart broke, not Frost’s or any faux personality. Scott's heart broke for the girl, as his own experience with it flashed through his eyes, he quickly, though gingerly, corrected her, “Don’t worry girl… Although your father… Is no longer with us…” He could hardly bring himself to say it, but he continued, “I will NOT be taking him… I am here for the ones who've so robbed him from you… And while you may not believe it, I do not intend to harm you, little one.”

“I… I believe you.” As she was looking at him, shedding tears, she leapt into the arms of a Demon, though this one wasn’t a bloodthirsty monster, as she burst into tears, as Frostin grabbed the body of the man, brought it to the surface, grabbed a shovel from the side of the cottage, and dug a grave for the father, placing him gently in, burying him so, as he lifted the girl into his arms, and asked her the fateful question.

“Who did it?” As he asked that question, her tears continued flowing, as she began leading him through the slum she called home, passing by a food stall she looked at longingly, as he chose to double back, grabbing two skewers, and giving them to her, as she began chowing down, a tad bit consoled, though tears were still present.

As they were walking through the street, he placed the girl atop his shoulders, as she grabbed his horns like a motorcycle’s handlebar, he began spinning with her movement, making whooshing noises as she controlled their movement, drawing a bout of laughter from her saddened expressions, but after a moment, her giddy expression returned to being solemn, as she pointed at a two story building, “That’s it. They did it, Mr. Demon.”

“Ok… wait here a moment” Having left his pets at home, he conjured an Elemental to protect her, as he walked into the building.

As he stomped his way into the shoddy building, kicking the door from the hinges, he gave the girl a thumbs up and a smile, drawing gaslight giggle, before he resumed his entrance, as after only a moment, someone came to investigate the noise, “What the fuck was that!?!?! What the Fuck!?!? GUYS, a fucking Demon’s here, wake up!!!” As the man was nearly pissing himself, his friends were doubtful.

“Man, you drank too much last night, or something. What are you talking about…” HIs sentence was interrupted as he saw the same Demon he doubted existed, but why was it so big, and why was it here?

Three others scurried into the main room, as they were all speechless, Frostin spoke, “You guys… Did any of you kill the father of a young girl recently?” His cold voice called out, as they all began shaking from fear.

They had **** but to be honest, with the bloodthirsty aura the Demon was emitting, "Yes, Sir Demon, Sir… Uhh… We killed him cause he was five payments behind. Umm… Did… Did that impress you?” His delusional face made Frostin angry, as the Chain frozen around his arm melted free, falling to the ground, and with a single motion, the Chain flew at Mach speeds into the skull of the man who’d first spoken those vulgar words, utterly bursting it.

As the rest of them began freaking out, another single motion had the Chain wrapped around the legs of another man, and upon freezing them, another motion tore the frozen legs from their previous locations, leaving the still conscious man legless and terrified.

Frostin stepped forward, grasping the skull of one of the men in his hand, he whipped the Chain around, wrapping it around the two remaining free men, as he pulled with his immense strength, not freezing their form, but still tearing through them as if it were, though, instead of the crashing of ice, it was a splash of blood, or rather, a deluge.

The single remaining man in his grasp was crying, as he began tightening his grip, “Impressed? How could I ever be impressed by something like that?”, and with one mighty pop, his hand was full of blood and brain, and as he began wiping it on his body, he exited the building, finding a surprisingly giddy girl waiting.

“Hey!… Mr. Demon, can I come back with you?”

As she asked that question, a shocked Frostin responded, “Why would you wanna go with a Demon? What if I just eat ya’ up?” He asked jokingly, not expecting her honest response.

“I don’t have a mother OR a father anymore. I’ll be all alone, at least you’ll care about me. The people here would… They wouldn’t care.” As she was on the verge of tears, Frostin considered the thought.

What does he think?
