Week 1 Fan Mail: Natalie
Natalie grimaced the moment she opened her first package, finding a tiny amount of cowprint fabric along with an unfortunately familiar device.
Dear Natalie, I very much enjoyed having you in my game and I hope you enjoyed yourself as well. As a memento, I have sent you your outfit from the game, which you wore oh so very well, and an enchanted milking machine so that you might experience the pleasure you found in your loss again. This time the milk is yours to keep, or share with who you like. Your girlfriend or Mistress perhaps... Speaking of, congratulations on the date dear. You did a tremendous job. I would warn you to not pursue Mallory to the detriment of your relationship with Lady Aife, but you have shown such wisdom there so far I do not think you need my advice. I will say that you may want to embrace the idea of becoming a cow girl on the show, I think the path quite likely for you. My own contestant, Susan, has found great rewards in embracing this and I believe that you can as well. Best wishes, Shar.
“W-why on Earth would you send me a gift like this?!” Natalie’s face was burning as she slammed the lid of the box shut. “Thank you for the other stuff in your letter, but stop tryin’ to make me a cow!”
Dear Natalie,
Oh wow! Are you really Natalia Verona? Before I ended up on harem hotel, I saw the fashion shoot you did with the Carrington summer line! You make clothes look so good that sometimes I’m tempted to buy them even when they don't suit my aesthetic.
Though I guess the fact that you're on a season now means I wont see you like that again? Unless they don't change you. That would be a shame, you’re so gorgeous, I hope they leave you the way you are.
When you get this could you sign it? I'm a really big fan.
Love your Work,
Maya Quinn
“Thank you, Maya.” She sighed as she calmed down. “Though I don’t remember doin’ anything with Carrington—actually, I’ve never even heard of ‘em.” She got Sera’s attention. “Sera, do you know anything about this?”
“Hmm?” Sera quickly looked over the part Natalie was asking about. “Ah, I believe she’s from a different timeline than the one you’re from. That timeline’s Natalia Vorona did a photoshoot with that timeline’s Vivian Carrington and her fashion company. Miss Carrington happens to also be a contestant on another season, in fact.”
“That explains it, then.” Natalie scratched her head, not really knowing how the whole timeline thing worked. “Well, I’m not the version of Natalia Vorona you saw, but I’d still be happy to give you my autograph if you don’t mind that teensy detail. I’ll have Sera send it to you later.”
Hello Natalie,
How do you manage with having people look at you? I can’t imagine ever wanting to do what you did for a job, and then a transformation that makes sure you never forget about being looked at sounds like my worst nightmare. Don’t you worry about what they’re thinking, and what they want to do to you?
I don’t mean to sound so negative. Really, I think you’re incredibly brave. You should be so proud of yourself for the leaps you took during your date. I’d love to have that, but I just don’t see it happening for me.
Yours
Grace Dalton (Harem Hotel: Storytelling Edition)
P.S. I was given this ring to pass on to you. It’s Medusa’s eye, and I really hope that doesn’t mean the same thing about you as it does about me.
[Medusa’s Eye Ring
A slitted snake eye set in an ornate silver ring. It’s very hard to look away from. Its magic can be used once to make the wearer’s eyes irresistible for one hour, and a person who makes prolonged eye contact will find themselves unable to move their body unless the wearer moves it for them. The effect will end automatically if the frozen person is in physical danger or mental distress.]
“I’m honestly not that great about people lookin’ at me, either.” Natalie smiled nervously. “I can make do at shoots because it’s usually only a few people at a time, or at least I can only see a few people. That, and I’m posin’ for the camera—I end up focusin’ on it, instead of whoever’s behind it. But yeah, the less I’m reminded about how may people are watchin’ me, the better.” She reread the description of the ring, her cheeks reddening as she imagined Aífe and Mallory standing in front of her as her personal dolls, able to be put in whatever pose she wanted. “Th-thank you for the ring, as well. I hope you’re able to build up your confidence a bit more.”
Dear Natalie,
Caring, hot, and shy despite showing off for millions? Plus an accent that just makes even listening to you more of a joy. You are an audience members dream. At least the ones with good taste. I must say I really enjoyed your laid back date. Well I say that but it got HOT at the end. You seriously just push all the right buttons. If Aria wasn't getting gamer points you'd be a shoo in for my favorite amongst the harem. Still might be, I'm going to have to think hard when the popularity poll rolls around. I'd say I'm sorry you didn't get the transformation you wanted but I don't think you mind anymore given how much enjoyment you've gotten out of the one you got. I could go on gushing for a while but I have other letters to write so I'll stop here. Keep it up
A drooling fan,
Sally
P.S. Congratulations on your relationship within the harem. You and Mallory are really sweet. I started to melt when you made efforts to share your first kiss with both her and Aife
“Aww, that’s really sweet.” Natalie beamed. “Thank you, Sally.”
Greetings.
…And I realize as I start writing this I have no clue if you should thank or hit Lewis in the weak spot for that idea of his that has led you to your current situation. Still, despite this show being this show, it does look like you are at least in a situation that will end nicely for you.
Wish you the best for the relationships you’re starting up with both Mallory and Aife. It is nice to see people inside the Harem get along. And I guess especially when the harem gets to mute into polycule from this. But far more importantly, I hope you do enjoy this opportunity to be ‘Yourself’ for the next few weeks, and build up from there with the rest of the group.
Seriously, don’t be worried about trying new stuff here. In some ways, this is both a vacation for you, and an opportunity to reinvent yourself away from the Internet person you ended up saddled with. Especially since it seems unlikely the TFs are going to Reality Rewrite it into something truthful (it could be done, but I’d say if it was to be done, it would have been in your first options).
Sorry for voicing that stuff out loud, so to speak. Just take the time there for yourself, decide what, where and how you want to go after this. And enjoy the hell out of both your girlfriends. The three of you deserve each other, and to be clear, meaning this in the most positive way.
…And maybe take time from time to time to imagine how to get back at Lewis. Maybe he can be your maid of honor? ;p
Keep going,
Isabelle ‘Hardric’ Richards.
PS: And… Good luck with dealing with a fangirl of you while doing all of this. I’m biased enough to hope she gets a chance, but lucid enough to know the choice is yours alone. And that you have to stand your ground if she dares being a brat about what you decide here.
“Hey, don’t go pickin’ on Lulu for this.” She scolded. “He had no way of knowin’ this was what he signed me up for. Thank you for the well wishin’, though. Just be careful with the weddin’ jokes—it’s still extremely early for us, and I don’t want to end up jinxin’ anything or getting’ all up in my head about it.” She reread the postscript. “And I’m gonna assume your talkin’ about Cecilia, based on what she was like when we first met, but I actually haven’t gotten to interact much outside of that. I think she’s been too busy worryin’ about her own stuff she’s got goin’ on.”
