Liandra held Kendra closed, memorizing her perfume while the two shared one long hug. Kendra didn't feel any more inclined to part, but eventually they had to, or they would start crying.

"Travel light and travel safe" Liandra offered a but Kendra just kissed her one last time, in the cheek. She tried to reason with herself that she should be in Kendra´s arms now, living one last night of passion before she departed, but she just couldn't. Liandra had been careless with Kendra´s feelings before, and decided with that last kiss she would do all her could so the two of them could truly be together.

Kendra departed the next morning, an event that attracted a surprising number of people. Most made derogatory comments about Kendra, her dressing habits, the untrustworthiness of Nocternians, some even accused her of bewitching the king. Liandra felt more sad than angry, sad that she didn't help her friend better during her stay.

Over the next couple of weeks Liandra saw the court shift. Some of the oldest families, Dukes and Counts, suddenly fell out of favor with the king, while relatively newer families saw some of their young men promoted to positions of trust and influence. It was as if suddenly the king recognized merit and hardwork, to the immense dislike of the status quo.

One day Chaplain Horacio asked to discuss some important topics with Liandra.

"Liandra, darling... you must speak with your father." Liandra expressed her support in her father, and that she couldn't see the recent changes he had been implementing as bad. But Horacio said

"No, i am not worried about what he did, I am worried about what he is going to do. He intends to recognize several of the forbidden gods... Dara of Hunt and Rape, Arna Lyra of Deceit and Seduction, Solos of Friendship and Sodomy. He intends to accept them all!"
