Visit Despedida

The majority of CEDIT agents tended to treat the office as an office, with a home somewhere offsite. However, for globe-trotters like the Goodbye Girls, even if they owned a house or a permanent residence, they couldn't spend a lot of time there; for that reason, they treated their spacious offices more like those were their homes. The design- with a front meeting room and a separate back room- allowed them to arrange their belongings so that the front could be used as a reception and work area, while the smaller back room could be used for sleeping and for private time. For now, it seemed you'd need to knock on the back door to summon Despedida... maybe?

Despedida's office, frankly looked more as though it belonged to some sort of teenage nerd than a field agent of CEDIT. One side held various gadgetry in different states of modification and repair, organized onto shelves and tables; that side was befitting a tech expert such as herself. The other side, however, was filled with shelves and shelves of video game merchandise, including toys of various cartoon-like characters and sealed collector's items. Consoles you couldn't even name sat aside the latest releases, while noises from some heavy duty gaming PC projected loudly from inside a curtained "gamer shrine" she'd erected, covering about 1/4 of the spacious office. It was nice to see that unlike some of the others, she was making the most of her space... You just wished more of it was for work.

{if Tech Skill = 1}Still, you had to admit, it was impressive... CEDIT had the world's greatest spy gadgets and yet, from just a cursory, curious look, you could tell that she'd outfitted them all far, even dangerously, above their ordinary output. That wasn't all... the readouts on the various monitors set up in that workstation showed clearly that she was tapped into all kinds of foreign agencies and markets. Goodbye had asked you how good you were at computer encryption... did you even stand a chance, against someone like this?{endif}

{if Weakness for Video Games= 1}The video game collection really took the cake, though. You found yourself in a collector's paradise; the value of eBay sale prices across the world could be drastically affected if anyone knew how many of the world's rarest games she'd collected and preserved here. On the other hand, you questioned the wisdom of keeping such a valuable collection a few feet away from souped up CEDIT devices, many of them equipped with self-destruction methods... Part of you wanted to rescue this collection and protect it!{endif}
