Visit Darlene

Aaron let himself out of the house without telling anyone - neither Natalie nor Emily would have cared either way.

It was a short walk to Darlene's bungalow and the open front door meant that she was accepting visitors. Aaron pushed his way through the bead curtain to the sound of chimes and was immediately hit by the thick smell of incense, which meant she probably wasn't just reading palms today.

"I'll be right with you!" came the muffled call from behind a closed door.

Aaron was staring at the astral charts and mandala wall hangings when Darlene swept into the room with the reek of more incense behind her. She stopped suddenly when she got a good look at him, her beatific smile hardening into a look of calculating suspicion.

"You're not here to have you palm read." It wasn't a question

"Nope," Aaron said as amiably as he could.

"...I only sell on a referral basis. No walk-ins."

Aaron cleared his throat. "Never really been into that. But I've got something interesting I wanted to share with you and... anyone else you might think would be interested."

Darlene's eyes narrowed, and Aaron quickly followed up, "I'm not trying to sell you anything, just watch this."
