Chapter 12 by AlexandraS90 AlexandraS90

What does Selina choose? Lethal or Quiet?

Violent Heist

-5% Morality

"If Don Falcone has to find out about this, it should be after we've cleaned him out. I'll deactivate the security. You guys go in hard, when the smoke clears, we'll all be rich."

"You're alright, Catwoman." Frank chuckled, lighting a smoke. Candy passed Selina a blade of memory, a program one of Penguin's hackers for hire had written, that when inserted into the bank's security system, would turn off all alarms and open every door, vault and safe.

The plan finalised, Selina slipped out of the club, cheekily tossing the hardworking Harley impersonator currently inverted on the stripper pole a couple of hundreds as she went.

Selina straddled her bike and jetted back into the city.

"Give or take Penguin, that place wasn't too bad." Holly observed on the comm. She sounded a touch out of breath. Selina couldn't help but chuckle.

"Sounds like you enjoyed it, honey." Selina purred. "Now, do me a favour. Encrypt our comms and patch us into Candy's network. And stay off voice communication. These are the sort of people you don't wanna be involved with." Selina asked. The only criminal to ever learn of her association with Holly had been Hugo Strange, and luckily, they were still squeegeeing him off Wonder Tower.

"Got it." Selina's surrogate daughter remarked.

Arriving at the rally point, a few short blocks from the bank, Selina sauntered towards Frank and his squad. They were packing high-powered rifles now, and had their faces concealed with balaclavas. Black with white patches around the eyes, a tribute to the bossman. It would be sweet if it wasn't so ugly.

"You ready, boys?" Selina asked. They nodded, game faces on. "Just give me a few, I'll let you know when it's time to hit it."

Their plan finalised, Selina lashed out with her whip, scampering up the side of a multi-story building, giving Frank's guys one hell of a view as she did so.

"Dat ass!" One of them called out, before Frank socked him for breaking radio silence.

Selina slipped into the bank from the roof. She knew alarm systems like the back of her hand. Tricking her way inside was almost as simple as breathing at this point. Crawling through an air vent at a steady pace, the only sound audible was the ever so slight squeaking of her suit. The price one paid for style, she chuckled.

As the thief made her way to the control room, she made a note of security. There had to be at least a dozen of the Don's guys on duty. Though Penguin's men were fewer in number, they did have the element of surprise. And better equipment than the mafia. Selina was sure she even saw a couple of the guys in the bank packing tommy guns. Presumably they'd broken them out of an old movie studio's prop department.

Reaching the end of the vent, Selina peeked into the security room. From her raised vantage point, she could see a lone guard inside, feet up on his desk, observing the main foyer of the bank through a plate of bulletproof glass.

A revolver was strapped to his hip, no doubt loaded.

Selina once again weighed up her options, in dealing with the guy.

Is Selina merciful or merciless?
