Victoria yells at him

“ZACK!” Victoria shouted.

“Now, what can I do for you, Miss Wonderly?” Zack replied, quoting the book in his hand.

“I WAS READING THAT! If you lost my page on me, you’re in BIG TROUBLE!” the blonde threatened.

Zack took a second to admire the girl of his dreams as she approached him. She was wearing a white bath robe and was using a matching towel to dry her hair. Zack felt his cock stirring at the thought of Victoria being naked under her robe. Zack gave her his patented “Smart Ass” grin before responding in a Humphrey Bogart-ish voice with another quote from the book.

“I don’t mind a reasonable amount of trouble.”

“That’s my favorite book, Zack! Why’d you move it?” Victoria fumed.

“Hmm! Aren’t you a reporter for the school newspaper?” Zack asked the mad girl as she glared at him.

“YEAH! What’s THAT got to do with anything?” Victoria replied, clearly not impressed by the Bogart impression.

“And do you do your own investigating for your stories?” the Sam Spade wanna-be questioned.

“Yes!”

“Well then, if you had investigated this mystery before yelling at me, you would have learned that THIS…” Zack tapped his copy of The Maltese Falcon. “…Is my favorite book. YOUR favorite book is still sitting where you left it. You see, Miss Wonderly, as one who hopes one day to possibly be a detective, I did my due diligence. I examined your copy and saw the book mark. I deducted that you had read to a certain spot and would like to resume reading from that spot at a later time. So I abandoned your favorite book and retrieved my own.”

Victoria turned to her bookshelf. Upon seeing her copy sitting right where she last left it, she turned back to Zack and apologized for yelling at him. The boy laughed and was promptly hit with a pillow.

“You ass! Go take a shower before you stink up the place!” Victoria chuckled.

Zack deposited his book on the small coffee table in front of the couch. He then went to his bag and grabbed his toilet kit, a towel, and his sleeping clothes. He then went into the bathroom and did what he was told.
