These crimson worm like creatures are social, wanting to be in a pack and breed as much as possible.

If a human host is accessible, they like to live and breed in them.

They are small enough to fit in mouths, vaginas, asses nostrils, ears and belly buttons

They can move so lightly that they are difficult to feel unless you know they're there

They are able to sustain themselves by eating brain matter (specifically from the areas that actually can regenerate)

To avoid tangling, they typically leave one end of their bodies outside the ear, their bearers will cover this ear with their hair. Because of this, if their bearer original has shorter hair, they will grow it out to shoulder length

They burrow just beneath their bearer's skin and live and breed there, or in their wombs

Due to their size they don't need to focus on getting as many bearers as they can, so they focus on secrecy of hosts over number

When not in humans these creatures live in fields.

They can act as parasites, a single worm able to control the body of a human by:

Going through the ear and burrowing into the brain

The worm doesn't replace their host's personality, but makes them horny and immediately wants to breed. They all think the worms are great but will continue acting normal in public. They will especially love feeling the worms in their orifices (nostril, ear and navel)

The worms can access their host's memories

The female hosts will love it when their wombs are heavy with worm spawn

They prefer attractive hosts as it helps then infect more after

Their host's irises will change to the colour of the worm.
