John opened up Urga’s stat page as soon as he found the Orcess. The idea that she had somehow saved herself didn’t make much sense to him until he saw her information and, even then, he had to stop and reread it over and over again just to make sure he wasn’t seeing things. Thankfully, her actions all but confirmed what John was seeing. While he was busy scanning through her stat sheet and ignoring the brigade of Gnomes that had followed him into the woods, Urga continued strolling through the trees. She had her hands out in front of her as she walked, aimlessly feeling through the air to make sure that she didn’t run into anything… but she didn’t seem to need it all that much. It was windy enough that the branches and leaves shook all around her, rustling loud enough for the Orcess to hear the pieces of her little obstacle course and avoid any low hanging sticks. Anything she came across, she ducked under or simply stumbled around as she tried to find confident footing without being able to see it. Unfortunately, since she had no way of seeing or hearing the ground, that meant that she never stopped stumbling while John watched her.
When the wind stopped, it was clear that Urga lost all sense of direction. Her hands would slap against a random tree branch or tree trunk and the sudden appearance of something that she hadn’t heard come within her reach made her immediately jump and scowl. It was… strange to watch how the Orcess trained herself when alone, but the sight made John smile before he even realized how happy he was to see that Urga’s blindness hadn’t beaten her.
If anything, she was beating it.
“Can you hear me?” he dared to ask when he got closer, and, respectfully, the group of Gnomes following fell silent while the two talked. He stopped to eye the leather-bound quiver of arrows that the Orcess had strapped to one of her broad, green thighs and the bow that she had slung over her shoulders, but that was still the closest thing to clothing that the Orcess had bothered to put on. Her melon-sized, emerald tits were still completely bared to the world, and so was everything else. He just didn’t get to glimpse at her little pussy because she squeezed her thighs together and blushed when she heard the sound of his voice. Her head whipped over in his direction as John stepped closer, close enough for her to pick up on the sound of leaves crunching beneath his feet, and John watched as the Orcess slowly faced her whole body towards him and nodded.
“Can you hear the Gnomes following me around?” he asked, and watched as Urga craned her head to the side. She stayed like that for a while as John continued approaching her, listening intently until he stood right in front of her for the moment when a Gnome finally shuffled in place and a twig broke beneath someone's foot. Finally, she nodded, and John smiled at her again. “How much can you hear?” he wondered, and the Orcess exhaled softly.
“Not more than before. I just-” she stopped and turned her head to the side as a pair of birds faintly chirped in the distance… but she didn’t keep her focus on it for very long. “The sounds mean something now...” She didn’t bother giving him more of an explanation than that… and, for once, John wasn’t expecting one. He was getting used to how… succinct the Orcs could be around him at times. If she didn’t want to explain it to him, then he wasn’t going to press her for an answer. Urga was not so silent. When the two of them fell into silence just a few inches apart, she reached out and firmly pressed her hand into his abdomen, squeezing and clawing at the muscles she found there. Her touch was exploratory for only a second, and then she started groping and sliding her hands across his torso for a whole other reason. John watched her fail to sneak a hungry bite at her lower lip, pulling the plump ridge against her tongue for a second, and then decided to let her have her fun.
“You are not wounded… again.” she stated after some more time had passed. Her fingers neared the waistband of his ‘pahnts’ and then stopped as Urga looked up at John and raised a question she had never bothered to ask before. “How?” Strangely, though, her voice didn’t sound all that curious. It seemed more like a statement made with awe more than anything. She didn’t let him answer. As soon as she had finished her first question, she immediately jumped into asking him a second one, and this time her tone implied that she wanted an answer.
“Do you intend to attack the Elves again?” she asked, and John froze. He wasn’t scared of the Elves or a second attempt… he was just shocked to find a lack of fear in Urga’s voice too. By all accounts, John had lost the fight against Dornwich and survived only because he had made it so that the Elves needed him to learn and thanks to the help he got from Bulgebottom. He would have thought Urga to have lost faith in him, or perhaps the entire Orcish horde… but John’s **** gripped at her bow like she was hungry for a second chance to use it again.
“I do,” John answered. He didn’t need to take the time to think about it. He still wanted Dornwich… he just didn’t know how to get it. More than that, if he intended to fight Daniel Salvador back in Springfield… then he needed to take Dornwich before he left his Kingdom. He needed every level he could get, so if that meant sieging a city, he was going to try.
“You can’t be serious.” It wasn’t Urga who spoke this time. It was the nice Gnome noble known as Ms. Lask that slipped into the conversation. The short, black hair on her head shifted with the breeze as she approached the two of them, her round butt noticeably jiggling and bouncing along the way. “You just fought against Dornwich and look how that turned out! Attacking again so soon would be-”
“Suicide,” John finished the sentence for her, and a small growl slipped out of Urga’s throat. She turned her head towards the little Gnome and faced her direction well enough to level a glare at the person who dared to question her Alpha. “However, now is the best chance we have to break into the city.”
“I concur.” This time, Kennedy pushed into the conversation. He glanced at Urga from the corner of his eye as he spoke… but his eyes weren’t traveling up and down her figure. He kept his gaze intently focused on her face as he slowly sided with the Gamer. Ms. Lask immediately cast an incredulous look in Kennedy’s direction and opened her mouth to speak, but it was like the Gnome already knew what she was going to say and explained himself before she could address his statement. “For the first time since… well, perhaps since the disappearance of the Thrall King, the sapphire city no longer has a horizon of monstrosities guarding the city gates. If this opportunity is passed up or even just postponed, then another chance like this may not come again. Someone will eventually die, and Dornwich’s army will just regrow from there. We must take the city.”
“We?” Urga didn’t growl this time, but she didn’t let the Gnome’s comment slip by her either. “The Bomasi need no help from you and your city of ungrown children, little one. We will take the city on our own.” Kennedy didn’t even blink at the insult tossed his way. He simply folded his arms behind his back and shook his head.
“I am not offering help, dear. I am asking for it,” Kennedy said, and John watched as a dozen of his fellow noblemen and women opened their mouths to argue with him… and then quickly stopped themselves when they saw Urga lift her head and cock an eyebrow in his… general direction. “For hundreds of years, we have been unable to stop Dornwich from growing to the point where it would be able to wipe us all out. We have had to sit and watch while our doom grew like a weed. Now, however, the Hallowed are gone and we want them to stay that way,” he said, and watched as a smirk fell upon Urga’s face. He watched as she shook her head and chuckled at the Gnome, and before the Orc could berate the Gnome for being weak enough to need to ask for help, Kennedy spoke up again.
“We’d be willing to pay,” he stated and stepped forward, crushing a small pile of leaves and twigs beneath him. His voice got louder as he got closer and caused John to tense up with Urga’s hands still on him. His **** didn’t miss a second of it. As soon as she felt John’s attitude change and his muscles flex beneath her fingers, she whipped her head towards the Gnome fast enough to shock John and snarled at the little man approaching them. Kennedy froze and paled on the spot as Urga pulled away from the Gamer… and made a show of stepping between John and the residents of Bulgebottom. “We-”
“I don’t need gold,” John grunted, thinking back to the chest of jewelry he had had back in his tent… and wondered what had happened to it. He supposed it didn’t really matter though. If he waited long enough, what was left of the tribe would bring him more gifts when he won some more impressive battles. “If… we help you, then I want something more than just gold. I want Dornwich. Everything we win in the city will all be divvied up amongst myself and all of my people and the city itself will belong to me. Bulgebottom will take nothing.”
“You must be jokin-” A dozen different voices rose up to argue with John at that. Ms. Lask and all of her compatriots shook their heads and cried out as if they had just been attacked… but Kennedy didn’t flinch. The little Gnome locked eyes with John now, and the Gamer stared back at him curiously. Despite his small size, the man seemed taller than most of the people in the forest at that moment.
“Done,” Kennedy agreed, and all of his fellow nobles turned on him with their surprise. “As long as you agree to a few of my own conditions.” In the end, it was Ms. Lask’s voice who cried out the loudest. She shook in her custom-made leather boots and turned bright red as she hollered at Kennedy, but he didn’t so much as look at her.
“YOU ARE NOT THE KING! YOU DO NOT HAVE THE POWER TO AGREE TO SUCH RIDICUL-” But… when her voice got to be too loud, the Gnome waved a few of his fingers, muttered a few things beneath his breath, and everyone else fell silent. Their mouths moved and they all got red in the face like they were yelling at the top of their lungs, but John didn’t hear any of them.
Kennaion-f52kdl0@! has cast mass silence!
Gertrude Pellon Do Vanillius Lask the Eighth has been silenced!
Daglen Copperbelly has been silenced!
Cothea Dola has been…
The messages kept popping up in John’s face until he waved the whole screen aside and faced Kennedy again. The Gnome merely cocked an eyebrow at him and straightened up, as if they hadn’t been interrupted in the first place, but he didn’t continue speaking. Eventually, John waved for him to go on.
“Firstly, you will answer all of our questions truthfully and with as much clarification as you can possibly manage. You will teach us anything we want to know, including this silent spell casting of yours that the elves wanted to know so badly,” Kennedy said, and John let out a growl of his own at that point. He was already getting sick and tired of people asking him for that. The Gnome gave him a moment to see if he would do anything other than growl like an Orc at him and then finished, “And lastly, you will agree to enter into a strong military alliance with Bulgebottom when you take control.”
“I will not teach you the spell casting and I will only answer whatever questions I deem safe to address,” John said. Kennedy scowled and shook his head.
“You’re not great at negotiating,” he grumbled. John shrugged.
“I’m not here to negotiate. You’re the one asking for help, remember?” It didn’t matter to John if that statement was true or just a play for the Gnome to get in close with the tribe. If he meant to actually try and do that, then the Gnome would have to stick to his word. “I will be taking Dornwich with or without you. Accept the deal.” Kennedy didn’t spare a glance back at his compatriots. He took a moment to think over the offer himself… and then nodded.
“Very well. How do you intend to break through the city gates?” Kennedy asked.
“I don’t,” John answered, and watched as the Gnome tilted his head curiously. “When you came to finish off the army of the Hallowed, did you find a naked elf stumbling through the fields of undead?”
