Vehicular Warzone, part 1: Options!

Blair moseyed in the direction of those vehicles stacked upon one another. As they approached, Caesar began to growl, barking a few times at the area before letting out a soft whimper. His tail lowered, taking a few steps back as his eyes stared at the vehicles. When she looked to see what was wrong, she could clearly see worry and fear depicted upon his face. She tilted her head slightly and knelt down while reaching out a hand to rub the top of his head. "What's wrong Caesar? Are you trying to tell me it's too dangerous?"

Caesar nodded slightly while looking at Blair. However, he focused once again on those vehicles and growled. She moved closer to him, hugging him gently. "If you don't want to come with me that's fine. But you got another thing coming if you think you are going to stop me from going in there." She stood up, turning to face those stacks of vehicles once again. "Stay out of trouble and be a good boy. I've got an illusion barrier to conquer." She took two steps forward when something rather bizarre occurred. Everything around her became unrecognizable and blurry. "The hell?"

A notification appeared in the center of Blair's view, followed by a new quest. As she started to read, something soft brushed up against her right leg.

This barrier is contested by Klalkonk, Dropscrap, Fuxipo, and Rampardos.

Accept or Decline?

Blair mentally hit, 'Accept' before looking down at what had brushed against her leg. She smiled upon seeing Caesar, reaching down to gently rub the top of his head. "I'm glad to see you decided to join me, Caesar." He let out a soft bark while enjoying having his head rubbed. She looked into the distance and saw several small groups of (steampunk styled) transformers, terminators, gnomes, and goblins fighting one another. Grunts, mechanical noises, spells, explosions, and shots were fired, but none of them were making any headway.

Blair wasn't sure what was going on, but it looked like a free-for-all. The battle between Damya and Owa was intense, but this was pure chaos. Although it was rare, she saw a couple of gnomes fighting goblins and a few transformers fighting terminators. She looked at her quest then back at the battlefield. If she was reading this correctly, one would assume that the goblins and terminators were on the same side and the gnomes and transformers were on the other. However, the battlefield showed otherwise. It reminded her of a mixture of nature and a deathmatch.

Blair grinned playfully. This would be fun to pick apart. It was clear only the strongest would emerge victorious here. This was easy to surmise by the mess left all over the battlefield from avoided strikes, bombs, and various attacks. She cast Observe on each foe in front of her to get an idea of what she had to work with.

Blair tilted her head slightly. "This'll be more of a challenge than I thought."" She looked to Caesar who was growling. "It's all right Caesar. We can handle this. Luckily they aren't hostile, yet." She looked back out onto the battlefield and noticed something rather interesting. To her right, a female goblin was fighting toe to toe with a slightly larger than average, golden terminator, but to her left a male gnome was doing equally well against a smaller than average, green transformer. She had a feeling who they were, but used Observe on them to get a better idea of what she was dealing with.

Blair's hand ran down to the base of Caesar's neck, gently massaging it upon reaching it. "Those four look interesting. Let's get a closer look." He let out a soft bark in agreement. After carefully traversing the battlefield, she was finally close enough to get a good look at the four she had just observed. Her eyes ran over Klalkonk. He was wearing a brown top hat with several gears twirling on all sides and rather large, multi-lensed goggles on his circular head and slightly chubby face. He has short brown hair and a curly handlebar mustache which accented his peachy white skin nicely.

What Blair found most interesting was Klalkonk's trendy, opened, long brown leather coat, exposing his neatly pressed white t-shirt and black slacks. His hands were covered by form fitting brown gloves whereas his feet were covered by knee high black leather boots. Surprisingly, he had a black cane in his right hand with a golden handle. Next she looked over to Dropscrap. This mechanical creature was a rather interesting specimen, her body was slender and oddly appealing in a sexual way. She had an oval face, yellow glowing eyes, and no eyebrows.

Dropscrap's bust didn't look big for her size, but it was interesting to see where her headlights and taillights went. Her headlights accented her shoulders whereas her taillights were accenting the sides of her hips. Her hips, bust, shoulders, crotch, hands, and feet, were covered in green whereas the rest of her was covered in various shades of greys and blacks. In her hands were two swords, but what made them unique was the tires used as crossguards. Blair felt slightly empathetic to Dropscrap. 'Hmm, if only her father would listen to her.'

Blair turned attention to Fuxipo next. This firecracker of a goblin was wearing a white frilly knee high dress with transparent sleeves that stopped just short of her elbows. She's also sporting a brown leather waspie corset with shoulder straps. Around her waist was an interesting black belt with six brown leather pouches and two holsters for pistols. Her legs were accented by white fishnet stockings and calf high black leather boots. She had flowing wavy red hair that descended to her shoulders which outlined her diamond shaped face nicely, straight eyebrows, a bulbus nose, and large purple heart-shaped lips which looked lovely against her jungle green skin and deep yellow eyes.

Last but not least was Rampardos. This machine didn't look all that interesting, but his glowing red eyes made his golden endoskeleton look rather intimidating. The most interesting thing about him was his oversized ten barrel gatling gun. To be honest, he looked exactly like the T-800, but golden and slightly bigger. Caesar was growling lowly at Rampardos. Blair gently rubbed the top of Caesar's head. 'Well, I know a bit more about them, but who should I side with this time?' She looked back at her quest and clicked on Klakonk's Helm and Fuxipo's Hairpin to get a better idea of what she would receive for helping them.

Klalkonk's Helm. Rare Quality. Forces the wearer to go mad once a minute for 5 seconds, but increases all stats by 15. Material: Rabbit's Pelt, Rune of Insanity, and Griffon's Feather. 60/60 Durability.

Fuxipo's Hairpin. Rare Quality. Increases all stats by 5 and grants immunity to knockbacks from explosions. Material: Enchanted Copper, Rune of Stability, and Perfectly Cut Emerald. 75/75 Durability.

Blair let out a soft breath upon reading the description for those items. Luckily Gamer's Mind would grant protection from the helm's madness, but it only gave fifteen to all stats in return. This was nice for the short run, but the hairpin granted immunity to knockbacks from explosions in addition to an increase to all stats by five. Sadly, she didn't know if that immunity would be important later or not. 'I don't know much about Zane, but it wouldn't surprise me if one or more of his tactics involved explosives.' She knelt down to kiss the top of Caesar's head. "You really don't like Rampardos, huh?"

Caesar let out a soft bark before growling again. Blair smiled. 'Well, at least I know what you think of him, but that doesn't help me choose between them.' Who should she side with? Klalkonk or Fuxipo?
