Use the fire response drone to cover Despedida while she fries the pack (Fire Response Drone -1)

You got the sense that suit of Promethia's was probably not only going to defend her from fire attacks, but also from the standard fire of your service pistol. That would mean Au Revoir wasn't much better off... she only had her gun and her muscles to rely on. Despedida, on the other hand, still had her drone from the elevator shaft. If she only had a moment to operate it, the lasers might be just the sort of unexpected weapon that would do the trick in stopping the Deliverer boss. In order to get that time she needed, Despedida would need a distraction...

Of course! The CEDIT Fire Response Drone. The suction wouldn't be able to topple this opponent, but it ought to be able to halt the flames for long enough to give Despedida her window of opportunity. You called Promethia's name to get her attention, then held your finger on the remote, pulling it slowly from your pocket.

"Do not speak my name, CEDIT dog!" Suddenly, the right-most flamethrower head was pointed in your direction; a second later, flames were shooting towards you!

You prayed that the fire response drone was going to be all it had been talked up to be. If it wasn't, you were going to curse both Goodbye and Despedida from the afterlife!

The sound in front of you was terrible, as though you were standing in the vicinity of a miniature tornado. The small, pink drone whirred at full power, doing its utmost to suck up all of the flames from Promethia's dual flame-throwers. You found, with an abundance of horror, that the wall in a circle around you was becoming blackened... not just that, the futuristic metal making up the receiving area's wall was actually melting! If this drone had been any less effective, you wouldn't even have had time to think about your failure... you'd probably have been reduced to a blackened pile of bones in seconds!

Now you needed one more miracle. With urgency befitting a man whose life is in imminent danger, not just as Despedida's handler, you begged your teammate to take out that flamethrower pack!

No sooner had the words left your mouth than the flames stopped; nozzles began to sever from Promethia's suit and flap around her, shooting flames in random directions, while the guns came disconnected from her pack. Despedida smirked, wielding a portable remote in each hand as though they were a set of two Wii Nunchuck controllers... only, hers weren't controlling an outdated video game console. Two miniature, blue drones circled Promethia, blasting her advanced armor with lasers. After severing the pack from her back, they spun around her artfully, peeling the enemy's anti-fire equipment free from her body like an apple's skin. You thought at this point that Despedida was probably showing off. "That was a smooth move, New Ciao! You taunt and I'll handle DPS!"

The damage per second was indeed pretty intense; in a flash, Promethia had been deprived of both her weapons and her defense. The giant woman clicked her guns uselessly, then growled, throwing them aside as they over-heated and then exploded. The room was becoming a flaming waste, to match the 1st floor...

"He he he... The fun's not over yet! Let's get this game banned in Australia!"

You wanted to advise Despedida not to kill your opponent, but it didn't seem that would be necessary... Despedida wasn't aiming to injure your foe, but instead, to humiliate them! The lasers continued to emit persistent beams, sliding up and down across the red robe the enemy agent had been wearing beneath their suit, shaving pieces from it in a tantalizing zig-zag pattern. "CEDIT! I will not forgive this humiliation!" Despite her protests, the unfortunate Deliverer agent couldn't move a muscle without risking being hit by those lasers and thus remained very, very still, like a huge, muscular, but- as was increasingly obvious- feminine statue.
