Use Rosary's barrier to weather the Devilbolt

Nil's grin widened as you stood alone against an oncoming twister of coiling, black flames, guided on invisible wind tunnels towards you. You could feel the wind blasting against your face and body, telegraphing where the attacks were going to hit, but moving forward against the pressure was extremely difficult. It was all you could do to stay on your feet! "I don't want to harm you, squire. You have a part in what's to come, after all. But if you insist on sticking with your out-dated saintesses, you'll perish with them. The least I can do, as an honorable lady, is to use my strength to give you a swift cremation," the so-called dame offered. What part about this scheme to serve corrupted wine to innocent people was honorable?!

"Oh Geod in heaven... Please protect your servants... Grant us your shield... Defend my squire against the forces of the demon lord!" Rosary prayed, bracing herself against one of the larger wine caskets while clutching a small, golden cross in both hands. Her brows knit in consternation and her teeth clenched, as the wind whipped the rolls of her hair in all directions. "Grant us Geodshield, oh Lord!"

You didn't feel any different, but you were vaguely aware of a light surrounding your body. The wind pressure was so harsh that it was hard to keep your eyes open and the sight of the black flames about to smash into your body was so fearful, you barely wanted to look. Nothing you'd learned in squire training could have prepared you for such a situation. Half expecting to meet your end, you closed your eyes tightly and braced yourself...

... When you opened them, you saw Nil staring at you with a tight smile replacing her grin of confidence from a moment ago. The black flames had passed you without injuring you.

"Ah, stalling. The one thing you saintesses are truly good at, I suppose," the false saintess sighed, closing her eyes momentarily. Her eyelids shot open with an unladylike look of anticipation flickering in the cold blue beneath. "But I'm confident in my own abilities, poor sister. Your shield will break before my magic falters!"

The woman's parasol began to spin once again, and this time, black jets of flame shot immediately from its circumference, headed in your direction with renewed speed. It was all you could do to remain on your feet as wind and flames battered your body. You could only imagine what the damage would be like if Rosary wasn't praying. You couldn't move an inch!

"Oh Geod... Oh Geod...!"

Rosary's voice was getting weaker in the background. She hadn't been hit with an attack, you thought, but the strength and concentration required for a damage nullifying prayer of this caliber had to be immense. She wouldn't last much longer...
