Underwhere?

Katy absolutely did not want to upgrade Salutation Parisienne, and Valley of Delight was way too scary. She was tempted to think Leggy would be easy to manage. But if she ended up getting Skirt Specialist again she didn’t own a skirt that would satisfy both punishments. That might mean that she would have to go completely bottomless. That was too risky, so Underwhere seemed like the least bad choice

Holding her breath, Katy tapped the button for Underwhere. She was in her usual sleeping attire of an oversized t-shirt and boxers over her panties, so nothing immediately changed. But before she got dressed, Katy had to come up with a plan. The description said she couldn't wear both at the same time, but not that she couldn't switch. During her school day, she'd go braless under her college sweatshirt, which should preserve her modesty. After classes, she'd put on her bra and work uniform. It would be uncomfortable wearing jeans with no panties, but she could live with it for six hours. She carefully packed her bra in her backpack, and after giving her Mom a kiss on either cheek to say good morning, she walked to the bus stop.

Waiting for the bus, Katy considered her options. Salutation Parisienne still had 3 rounds left, and she only had energy for two rounds. She could clear it right now by spending all her gems, or she could play those two rounds and then use only two gems to clear the last round. Or she might keep the gems in the bank, just to keep some flexibility.

Once she was confident in a strategy for the level, she had nothing to lose by playing. Taking a deep breath she tapped on level 20. This time gems did not immediately fill the screen. Instead, the tutorial demon girl showed up and started talking again. The sprite smiled, showing elongated canines.

"Looks like you're having trouble with a tough level! From now on, whenever you retry a level, I'm prepared to offer you a little advantage.

"It works like this: you take a choice of punishments up front, and I give you a powerful Match Crystal to help you beat the level. Simple, right? A punishment and some gems is way better than a punishment with nothing to show for it, I always say!

"So, whaddaya think? Are you going to take the deal?"

Katy scowled, not sure what the best option was. She’d been pretty close to clearing the level last time, so taking a punishment to win a level could have won without it would be pretty frustrating. But if she refused the buff and lost again, she’d be stuck in the exact same situation. But with an extra punishment and less energy to clear punishments and earn gems.

Katy chewed on her lower lip nervously, but finally extended her thumb to tap the screen.
