Turmoil

"Lovers, what makes you think that?" He asked with wide eyes.

KuliKuli shriveled and curled up into herself with closed eyes and a soft whimper. "Are you mad?"

"No, how can I be? I'm just relieved you're not hurt but... it's a lot that just happened. Your family, Janette, your lover?"

He paused once he noted her tails tighten their hold around her waist. He reached over and scooped her into his arms, kissing her ear and hugging her close. "I'm not asking any questions if you don't want any."

"I don't have any answers, only more questions."

"Yea, and lots of them." They both looked up in time to see Reta walk pass them and into the kitchen, fetching a glass of water. KuliKuli's ears lifted up with Felix's body language asking if there were any news.

"Calm your tits, she needs water when she comes to. Hasn't woken up yet, with her house like this I'd rather stay asleep myself. I'm sure as hell not cleaning this up."

"So, sleeping still?" Questioned the little kitty.

Taking a sip, she simply nodded back. "Still sleeping, chibi. Soon as she's better, I'll be back to it myself."

"Back to what exactly?" Felix asked, lifting himself off the couch with KuliKuli scooting aside.

"Back to leaving, no use for me here after all. It was a mistake staying so, nothing better to do then to correct it. You don't need me here after al-"

"Says who?" KuliKuli interrupted, folding her arms in a huff. "A bunch of strangers just attack us and you want to leave now?"

"Don't make it sound like I'm some kind of coward, chibi. I'm not, I was leaving before this happened anyhow." She filled her cup before walking off and pushing through the two on her way to Janette's room.

"What about your situation, you being a werewolf?"

"What about it, did you have something in mind? A cure perhaps, or were you hoping to keep me as a second pet to add in your collection?" She scowled, her eyes darting from Felix to KuliKuli and back. Both were speechless. "Thought so."

Continuing to walk away, KuliKuli hurried behind her being quick to reach for her arm as her mind began to panic.

"You can't just leave, you're our friend! You're family-"

"No, those cats are your family. Weren't you listening? You ran from your life and it came back to find you, so leave me to looking for mine too."

Yanking her arm back, she kept back to herself walking away. The Nekomata just stared as her friend left her, staring at her paw. Felix swallowed hard, this whole family business was beginning to hit hard.

"KuliKuli-"

"You are my only family, you believe me right Master?" She asked, looking up to him with watery eyes as she fell onto his chest. His hands reached to hold her paws, feeling his hoo-man touch broke her down and for the first time in his life, he witnessed his love crying in front of him.

All he could do was hold her still, hug her close and whisper sweet nothings into her feline ears, telling her it will be alright.

Even if it was a lie.
