Nityri!?

"Nityri?"

The Nekomata panted, her paws pinning KuliKuli to the ground, short of breath and their bodies riddled with scratches. Janette swallowed hard, feeling her legs move forward as she readied for the attack...

"Nityri!"

KuliKuli yelped, mouth wide open in shock as suddenly this Nekomata lifted her up and hugged her tight.

"Mew?"

"I missed you so much, by the gods! I didn't realize it was you, I am so so sorry!" She pulled away, patting down KuliKuli's arms and legs taking mental note of every individual scratch she had.

"Did they hurt you, did they mistreat you? Tell me-no don't! Your mother is waiting outside, let's go!" KuliKuli squeaked as the mystery woman's tail wrapped around her paw, pulling her from behind as they made off for the shattered window. Janette just stood there speechless.

"Wait what?"

"Yea, your mom and your sisters are all here! They'll be so glad to see you, let's go, hurry!"

"Let go of me!" She snarled, pulling her paw away and retreating to Janette's side.

"Nityri? What's wrong, are you hurting too much?"

"I don't know who you are, and my name is KuliKuli not Nityri!"

She gasped, placed a paw to her chest. Her eyes began to swell, her ears dropping down and her lip quivering. "Nityri... is this because of that fight? I-I know sorry won't be enough, but I promise to change and be better. Just please, come home with me."

"No! Who are you?" She shouted back, puzzled and defensive of her friend behind her.

"I'm Na'Vi, your other half... I..."

Everyone turned around as Felix and Reta pushed the doors open, hurrying over to KuliKuli and Janette's side. Feeling defeated, Na'Vi gave one last look of want to her Nekomata, who in return hugged Felix's arm. Na'Vi gasped as she realized Felix's nonhuman traits, his eyes were a big revelation to her. With one last breath of distraught, she spun around and hunched on all fours, leaping out the window into the black night. There, a silhouette of three more Nekomata's were waiting. As the fourth ran past them, the smaller two went and followed. Felix approached the glass only to make eye contact with the last remaining Neko, who seemed to be studying him before joining the rest of her kind.

Reta wrapped her arms around Janette, a small clink noise filled the air as the knife slipped from her grasp and hit the wooden floor. She whispered soft voices to her ear like a lullaby, but all she heard was the sound of silence. Shaking her softly achieved nothing, and soon Reta was shouting for Felix's name.

"Chikushô, she's bleeding."

"No no, it's fine. Just a few scratches on her cheek that's all."

"Master, why isn't she moving? Is she... hurt?"

"No, I think she's in shock. Must've been scared out of her mind, let's give her some room okay?"

Reta leaned on her knees, watching over Janette resting peacefully on her bed. "You two go, I imagine you have a lot to talk about. I'll stay, look after her and stuff."

"Listen Reta, about befor-"

"-Just... Not now Felix. Please, go. "

Felix sighed and nodded, exiting the room after with KuliKuli following behind giving one more glance at Janette. Once the two were downstairs, she broke the silence.

"Master, will Janette be better soon?"

"Yea, of course. I hope... are you feeling okay? You have scratches all over."

KuliKuli shrugged. "Nekomata claws are sharper then I thought hehe."

He smiled, sitting down onto the couch with his mate making herself comfortable on his lap. She leaned her head against his chest, feeling his heartbeat, hearing it beat so... nervously.

"Master, you're scared?"

"No, no I'm just relieved you're doing better."

He felt her shuffle before looking up into his eyes.

"Master, you're lying. You're lying and you're nervous, tell me."

"I..." He stuttered. "It's... I don't know what's going to happen. They're your family, what now?"

KuliKuli rested against his chest, a look of concern on her face.

"She said my name is Nityri."

Felix tilted his head. "Who?"

"My other half, Na'Vi. I think... I think we were lovers."
