Try to outpace him

You nod and Yell the engage command to Jack "Jack I choose you!" and he looks around for a moment before stepping up and starting to chew on his rump Blue responds "Charmy go" calmly as if he were ordering drinks. "Jack, quick!" he doesn't respond so you yell again "Jack quick now, come on quick"

Jack starts to wander around and Blue says "Charmy charge and aim." the Charmander does building up its flame as the Pikachu wanders aimlessly looking for seeds in the grass to eat. "Please Jack quick." it doesn't respond and blue orders "Fire" Charmy hits Pikachu hard enough to knock it out and maybe kill it but you put it back in its pokeball after it passes out. "Well that is the match then, didn't even put up a good fight. Guess you really wanted it."
