Chapter 5 by Rowenar Rowenar

What do they do?

Try to find something to undo the change

Objects like the spear were rare, but it couldn’t be unique surely? There had to be something out there.

Sara fidgeted in her chair. Even with the men of the team behind them, she and Amaya could still see each other, still see far more of one another’s bodies than felt at all normal.

“Uh,” Ray spoke up. “Can I say something dangerous?”

“What?” Sara said.

“You can’t keep us back here,” he said. “I know it’s… a lot, but we’re a team. We have to face this together, and if we’re constantly split up, or if you always stay on the ship, we’re not going to be able to get anything done.”

“That and I’ve been thinking about what you had under that costume of yours since I met you,” Mick added.

Amaya closed her eyes, the full humiliation of their predicament coming down on her anew. Sara just had to sigh.

Ray was right, unfortunately. They shared a ship, they’d need to work with each other, be comfortable seeing each other. That need wasn’t going to go away.

Silently, Sara looked at Amaya, making sure to only meet her eyes. It was plain Amaya was coming to the same realisation.

“Fine,” Sara said. “You can sit down. And, Mick, keep it in your pants.”

Mick grumbled something, and the men of the team came forwards, each taking their own seats around the central console. Now she could see them, Sara felt all the more exposed, her nakedness contrasted with their outfits.

A silence lingered as eyes wandered, both Sara and Amaya drawing their arms tighter around themselves, Sara flushing.

“Uh. Ok then,” Nate eventually said. “Where do we start?”

“Gideon,” Sara said. “The Spear of Destiny, do we have any leads on where it was before the Justice Society found it?”

If her depowering only worked from that moment on, then if they could find it before that point in time… It was a gamble, but she couldn’t think of anything else.

“No, Captain Lance,” Gideon said. The image of the topless AI still made Sara uncomfortable.

Well that would be too easy.

“Is there anything else rumoured to be comparable to it in power?” Amaya said.

“Not in my records,” Gideon said.

It was hard to think when all she wanted to do was put something on. That was denied to her though, leaving her instead with no more than the feeling of exposure and the growing redness on her cheeks.

She fidgeted, crossing her legs the other way and praying she hadn’t just flashed her pussy, and hoping this new angle would help hide it. Her arms shifted. It was hard to stay still.

“Let’s start with the Justice Society then,” Sara said. “Work backwards. What do we know about them, and when and where they found it?”

Gideon’s topless avatar was replaced by projections of images. Newspaper clippings, military reports, photos… Most were of the Justice Society themselves, heroes that Amaya had been a part of before becoming a Legend.

The most notable member in the photos was Stargirl. She had the same curly blonde hair, the same blue mask covering her eyes, but that was it. Apparently the mask didn’t count as clothing; the rest of her body was still bare, still out in public and immortalised as a hero.

Amaya shifted slightly to see her old teammate so exposed. A slightly whimper escaped her lips; did that mean there were similar photos of her out there? Vixen would have been just as major a figure as Stargirl.

Still fidgeting, Sara dreaded to think that would mean for her as well. When she’d been the Canary, or been in the League… Did that mean she and all those she’d worked with had the same bizarre identity concealment, a mask on their faces and nothing else?

Her sister Laurel, her ex Nyssa, as well as herself…

Oh god. They had to fix this.

“Please tell me you have something Gideon,” Sara said, a note of pleading entering her voice as she began to fully comprehend what living in this changed world would be like.

Does she?
