Try to find a silver lining

If I had some money, I could at least go to the movies or a restaurant while I wait, Loraine thought to herself. But she didn't want to just ask Marc to borrow money and be more indebted to him. There was something he said last year though....

"Hey, do you remember what you dared me to do last summer?"

Marc thought for a moment. "Oh yeah! I dared you to run through the fountain naked for $100, but you were too chicken!"

"Umm, right," Loraine admitted. "But you said that the offers still stands if I ever change my mind. Since I'm already naked, I figure I might as well cash in. It's not like I can do anything else right now, being locked out of my house with no money."

The park was busier than she had expected, and Loraine had received plenty of stares just on the short walk there. When she arrived at the fountain, there were dozens of people milling around.

Loraine took off at a run, and gasped as the first jets of cold water sprayed her. Initially, she planned on just running through and getting it over with quickly. As she neared the center of the fountain, she realized that the sprays of water were doing a good job of hiding her body. For the first time that day, all the people around staring couldn't get a good look at her. Closing her eyes, Loraine let the water wash over her, pretending she was at home alone taking a shower. A really cold shower.

She paid for her decision a few moments later when she stepped out, shivering. "Okay, l-l-let's g-go." she said, teeth chattering.

Marc pulled off his t-shirt and handed it to her. "Here, dry yourself off," he commanded. "I don't want you catching a cold."

"T-thanks," Loraine said gratefully. She dried herself off, trying to ignore Marc's intense gaze.

"Wow, I wish I was that t-shirt right now," Marc commented as she rubbed the garment over her breasts.
