Try and move on

When you wake up the next day, you are paralyzed by fear. Just yesterday you had your entire life planned out and now... It feels like everything you dreamed up is gone. There isn't anything you can do to fix it. Like your dad said, the police aren't going to do anything about this. Breeding is still priority number one, so it is unlikely they would have pressed charges even if he hadn't run. They're also pretty resistant to helping 'monsters' like you. You can't get rid of this possible baby either. Plan B is still illegal and you can't get an abortion unless there is no possibility of the baby surviving. You're stuck with this whether you like it or not.

Reluctantly you sit up in your bed. What can you actually do? You can't go and hunt down Thomas. You can't go to the police. You can't get rid of this possible baby. The only thing you can do is... Well, move on.

Getting up, you head for your computer. Not all your dreams are lost. You still have your dad and he probably would watch your baby for you while you went to school. There's still the scholarship you have for the local university. As long as you played your cards right, you could still get a degree like you planned. You just are gonna have a baby a bit earlier than you planned to.

For the next hour or so, you get your ducks in a row. You contact the college, confirming your attendance after finding out what childcare they provide. You put in a few applications for summer work. You'll definitely need the extra cash. Then you scour the government pages for any assistance you might be able to receive.

Right there and then, you decide that you won't let this destroy you. You're gonna make something of yourself. You're gonna be somebody who makes not only your dad, but yourself proud. And if Thomas ever comes slinking back... Well, you're gonna show him just what he missed out on.
