Chose the main character:
Trux Zim
Trux, the adult crow sat rather uncomfortably in her old wooden chair, in one of her well hidden hideouts under the kingdom. She was looking through some old files of some of her old cases, while occasionally taking sips of her cold coffee. Money has been rather tight lately, it usually happens around the same time the kingdom she serves, runs out of enemies for her to take care of. No bounties for her to hunt, means no more free food and hefty payments for her. Though, she knew it was time for her to disappear completely, and search for another kingdom to serve and be paid by, she lingered for a little longer.
Mostly because she didn't want to leave her well built home so soon, building another one would take too much effort, especially since the last person that usually built her homes, ended up sloshing in her belly. For now, the black crow eagerly waited for something to do. Though she already had gotten a few requests from the higher ups, none of them were her style. None included hunting for someone to be digested by her.
One of those tasks included stalking one of the old royalties, and devouring him if he breaks the sacred code of silence. Somehow she had a vague feeling that she'll waste her time on this task, no one had ever broken the code of silence before. Why would an old man do that now?
Another task, was completely insane; they are training a new group of guards and soldiers, and they asked for her to help, by being their hunting prey. She'll stay in the forest for 24 hours while a dozen mutts would try hunting her. If any of them succeed, she'll end up gurgling in their belly and be turned into a layer of their tooshie. If she succeeds in staying alive for 24 hours while not stepping foot outside the forest, she'll win an Enormous pay, one that would practically be enough for her to live the whole winter without worries. While it wasn't unusual for this kind of exercise, Trux's offended that they thought she would accept such a deal, even though the pay is quite huge.
For now, the crow tapped her foot on the floor, dressed in nothing but her comfy robe, waiting for an actual bounty hunt to be offered to her. Yet, her need for money needs to be satisfied soon, otherwise she'll end up in debt.
