-bent her knees and leapt upward, catching the edge of the railing with her hands. Using all of her strength, she slowly pulled herself up onto the crossbeam.

"Ha... ha-ack! *KAACK!*" she panted, catching her breath only to breathe in a mote of dust knocked up from her passage.

Clearing her lungs, she glanced back down to the floor. Fortunately, no one had seemed to notice, as the principal's speech was fully underway.

Dirty as the rafters were, it was at least far more concealed than the catwalk, positioned only slightly above the stage area lit up by the spotlights. All it would take was one bored student's wandering eyes and she would have been done for. At least now she didn't have to worry about covering up and could focus on making her way to the control room all the way on the other side of the auditorium.

With a heavy sigh, Yukari began inching her way forward, resolving to keep herself low so as not to lose her balance, the main downside being that it took a very long time to proceed this way. The metal, though not particularly cold, sent shivers across Yukari's body as she slowly squirmed along the dust-covered rail.
