Travel to work.

When I entered the work I noticed quite a commotion between other coworkers leaving the current shift. It turned out it was the day of our evaluation and it was the best opportunity to ask for a raise. Few colleagues already bragged they got theirs but that it wasn't as easy. Our boss was a man hard to convince but I decided to try my luck anyway. I had 30 minutes to prepare my arguments before going to his office for the evaluation. When I entered, my boss was already looking through some files, probably about me.

• "Hello sir, I am here for my work evaluation."
• "Ahh, Lucy, please come in and sit down."
• "How is score this time boss?"
• "Let me see... You received a few minor complaints from customers. Not great, but that happens."
• "You know how pushy these old women are sometimes."
• "Next, you stayed for only 5 hours overtime in the past 3 weeks. That's quite low."
• "Umm, sir, that's because they are unpaid."
• "Yes, but it shows your lack of dedication."
• "And finally, your relationships with other employees are not that great."
• "But sir, I work late shift, there is usually me, Daphne, and you."
• "Your overall score is... Sufficient."
• "So, does that mean a raise?"
• "I am afraid not. There are employees who put way more effort into work than you. It wouldn't be fair for them, right?"
• "That doesn't seem fair to me either, boss."
• "Well, what else can you bring to the company?"
