Tournament rules

After reaching the main lobby again I noticed that there were less people then before, then I realized that a whole hour had passed and it was night time.

Elena cleared her throat at me to get my attention. “Alright Ramus, so here are the rules of the tournament. There are three types of matches and those being exhibition matches, private matches, and tournament matches.”

“Exhibition matches tend to be matches that boost your rank or get you some money along with your tournament money.”

“Ranks?” This is new. Mom never told me about these ranks before, maybe there new?

“Your rank is important here since it’s basically your status of fame and money. Say for instance you fight and beat a B rank fighter. The money you would win is based on there status. A high B rank can be worth $3,000 or a low B can be no more than $1,200.” Elena told me.

“So how many matches does it take to rank up?”

Elena thought for a bit, “ it normally depends on how many matches you play or how you play them. You could play 20 matches then rank up, or you could play very well in just 5 matches and rank up. It really just depends.”

I nodded now wondering what’s the best strategy going forward should be.

“Any ways there are six ranks. E, D, C, B, A, and S rank. And the higher the rank the more benefits you have.”
