Took too long

You look to Olivia and Veronica and as they look to you, giving you the same worried expression you have.

“So would it be ok if I became roommates with either of you?” You asked with a glimmer of hope. They look to you and nod.

“Sure thing John. Let’s talk about who’ll be your roommate when we grab keys.” Olivia says calmly. Veronica nods with her as the three of you head up to grab some room keys.

Unfortunately during your small conversation a lot of the dorm keys were taken. Your face becomes a little pale as you notice that there are only three keys left and they each go to separate dorms. The three of you look to each other with worried expressions. Timidly, Veronica reaches out and grabs one of the keys.

“Sorry John. I guess all we can do now is pray you get a good roommate.” Veronica calm states, putting a reassuring hand on your shoulder. Olivia puts a hand on your other shoulder and looks at you with a determined glance.

“Don’t worry. We’re still with you in here. Come talk to us tomorrow at breakfast and we’ll figure something out ok?” Olivia asks as she gets one of the other keys.

You nod as you reach for the last key, trying to steel yourself. You look back to Veronica and Olivia and nod.

“I’ll try and find you two tomorrow at breakfast. Let’s hope for the best. I’ll see you two tomorrow.” You say with a small smile, trying to stay confident.

The three of you say your goodbyes for the night and you all make your ways to your new dorms. You wonder who your roommate is gonna be as you make it to your new dorm room without any difficulty.
