Too late to stop

You regretted making Izzy call and thanks to the KDK active effect, Izzy was going to try and keep you on the line for the next minute through whatever means she could even if it was to her own detriment, making you cringe at how quickly you had decided to use the KDK in this moment.

Without knowing if your father could hear what Izzy was saying, you made the decision to keep the conversation going yourself so that Izzy wouldn’t have to reveal anything that might cause her any trouble. You still had to choose your own words carefully however.

“Yeah I’m doing fine. Got a big meal tonight with a few people. Are you… spending tonight with just you and Jack or…?” you asked back, not giving any details yourself as to who you were spending the night with.

“Just the three of us tonight and were staying in. I’m glad you are okay” Izzy replied, all but confirming that your father could hear her side of the conversation.

You had no reason to suspect he was doing it maliciously given that you had made Izzy be the one to ring but you didn’t want to take any chances on what he might overhear.

“And we are all still set on having our guests round on Saturday if they can make it. I know with all the travelling there's a chance they can’t make it but we are looking forward to seeing them again” you hinted, finding yourself leaning forward as you anxiously sat on your bed.

“That’ll be nice for them. Well I do hope they can make it” Izzy replied.

The conversation felt slightly **** as both of you tried to navigate having a third person listening in but there wasn’t anything either of you could do about him being there.

You could however change the topic to something Izzy could freely talk about.

“How is Jack by the way?” you asked, almost hearing the relief from Izzy over the phone.

“He’s doing great! We went out earlier to the park and he…” Izzy excitedly spoke, the tension disappearing and a smile appearing on your face as you let her talk about her day.

It did feel good to hear about how they were doing and you could tell as you listened that Izzy enjoyed just having someone new to talk to who wasn’t just another mom, someone who seemed to actually care about her and Jack’s well being.

The KDK effect had long since worn off and it felt like Izzy would be willing to talk for way longer before she suddenly stopped mid-sentence.

“He looked so happy on the swings and… What?... No it’s just a friend from daycare... Ma-Maxine I’m gonna have to call you back another time but it was nice catching up. Speak to you soon” Izzy said.

“Okay yeah, speak to you soon” you replied, saying goodbye.

You could hear a mumbled conversation before she ended the call but there weren’t any raised voices from what you could tell, helping the pit in your stomach only slightly.

Izzy covering her mistake after almost saying your name had been pretty quick thinking on her part and you didn’t think you could have played it off better if you had been in her shoes.

The idea of you now being ‘Maxine’ did manage to make you chuckle despite the anxiety, calming you down at just the absurdity of the situation you had managed to put yourself and Izzy in without thinking.

As if to warn you about how using the KDK could go wrong, it felt like this was a sign to be a bit more careful before you used any of the level 4 and above effects. Not that you were anywhere close to getting a subject to level 5, but it was something to keep reminding yourself about so that you wouldn’t forget.

Right now it was Grace that was the furthest along in terms of the amount of seconds you had touched her but it was Emma who was closest to level 5 thanks to the original familiarity that you had with her. You had originally only focused on Mom’s and Sarah’s level 4 unlocks as you saw no downside for Emma’s level 4, but after that phone call with Izzy, you knew there were ways that you could be in trouble if you didn’t fully consider the consequences.

Emma’s active effect only mentioned pleasure and not pain which you saw as a huge relief in comparison to Sarah’s effect but that didn’t mean it could cause trouble.

Or that the KDK was telling you the full truth.

Neither of you had had the time to try the effect yet so it could be the case that it did give both pleasure and pain, something that was hard to distinguish given that some of your current subjects had a masochistic streak. Or potentially it was possible to get herself in a feedback loop of pleasure where she continued to reach higher and higher peaks until her brain couldn’t handle it. Not that that didn’t sound like fun.

That last option didn’t sound possible with what you had currently unlocked but thinking about these sorts of things seemed like a good idea going forward, giving you a chance to prepare yourself before you used any of the effects.

The best chance to actually test that effect however, might actually be when you let Sarah know about the KDK later tonight. You could pair it with Sarah’s ‘Pain away’ effect and then spank or play with Sarah, the sensation then going through to Emma without having to hurt two people at once. Plus a bit of experimenting between the three of you sounded quite fun.

You wanted to think about that some more but the sound of the doorbell ringing downstairs made you realise that you had already spent enough time thinking about this on your own.

Rushing down the stairs, you made sure you would be the first to reach the door.

“I’ll get it!” you shouted out to the rest of the house, just in case someone else was already enroute.

You did briefly stop in front of the mirror to fix your appearance, apparently having messed up your hair without noticing during your anxious phone call and with one final deep breath, you prepared yourself for the night to come and opened the door.
