Chapter 4 by Noobishtats
Does she consider the updated potion or keep looking
Too intrigued to stop
As Romilda looked over the notes she was encouraged by a number of things. First off outside of 1 ingredient these things were easily obtained. Second, there were a large number of reviews and other notes under the potion so she wouldnt be the first to try it and finally all of those reviews were positive! They talked of wild whirlwind love affairs some ending with marriage and a child within a year some only summer flings. For the effects to stay with the target she would need to dose him every 3 to 5 years but truthfully she was planning on every 2 years. This was her chance to level the playing field, that dirty ginger tramp had already gotten to him before Romilda had ever even entered hogwarts but now as long as she was careful and smarter than everyone else she could have the boy of her dreams and the hero of the oncoming war forever.
There were 3 girls who had been caught which caused her a bit of concern but it seemed that the potion worked by matching your level of interest/love/lust in him. The comments underneath seem to think they moved too quick and had the boy saying he loved her within a day. To be natural and proper it would need to progress like most love affairs, tentative and with at least one stumble before truely together. Harry was going to be happier than he could ever imagine when it came time for her to finally give in to his advances and go much further than snogging.
Without even realizing the decision had been made she was already going full steam ahead with this plan. The one harder to come by potion ingredient represented in Her eyes the only challenge. Basilisks blood wasnt something she could buy and even if it was she couldnt afford it. She would have to try and nick it from Professor Snape, his stores were impressivly stocked and with the basilisk in the chamber in the sewers hebhad to have went and gotten some. She heard the clock strike and with a start realized she was late. She copied down the potion and ran out of the room of requirement with the intention to start it that very night. Her only mistake was in an assumption, Professor Snape did in fact have Basilisks blood but because of an odd coincidence it was next to his personal cauldron. In his private stores was a bottle labeled basilisk blood but it was actually fortified giving it 5 times the potency it would normally have. Instead of red in color it would be so crimson it was almost black, he would recognize it immedietly so he never bothered to label it differently.
