"Viewership for K14 news has been declining as of late!" Mr Pryce, owner of the K14 news broadcasting agency, massaged his temples as he sat in defeat, slumping in his office chair behind a long wooden desk.

"People today just don't care about televised news. Surveys show that 90% of citizens get their news from online sources or on other apps. The news is getting digitalized and TV viewership is declining." Mr Pryce's assistant stood beside him, holding a clipboard, and explained the problem to the various news anchors and staff gathered in the office.

"What if we added a mascot? Bring a little personality to the show." The 9 O'clock news presenter offered, throwing his hat in the ring.

"Maybe add some comedy routines. Some stand up?" The economics reporter suggested.

The whole room was abuzz with discussion, before someone stood up and proudly declared: "I got it!"

Everyone stopped and turned to look at the one who stood up at the back of the room. It was Amber Hayes, the weather forecast woman. She was in her 40s, and had been doing the job for a while now, so if anyone had experience it was her. "Well, tell me your idea then." Mr Pryce leaned forward, being all ears.

Amber started to speak up. "Trust me on this. It might seem risky, but what needs to be done is..."

"Rain showers are expected in the later half of the afternoon in the western regions of..." Amber articulated in front of a weather forecast diagram as the viewership had rapidly spiked. From doubling to tripling almost immediately, more eyes were on the news than ever.

More specifically, on the weather woman.

Amber was dressed in a skimpy see-through satin shirt and short black dress.
