Hearing the sounds, the old lady who owned the place came over and wondered just what the heck was going on, and then she found Ben trying his best to make Charmcaster feel better, which just did not work no matter how hard he tried.

The old lady, however, works her granny magic and manages to calm down Charmcaster just long enough that she finally begins talking about why she was basically living from the little corner of the private sections.

Apparently Charmcaster was either kicked out, forgotten, or disowned by her uncle, as the place she was staying at with him didn't let her in, as her key didn't work, and the landlord told him how she was kicked out. After that, no matter how hard she looked, she couldn't find her uncle, and without a place to really stay, she thought it'd be best to stay at the library from school, as it was close to the gym, which students could use for free, and just hoped no one would spot her.

Hearing this, the old lady took her upstairs, where she apparently had more than enough room, as she was apparently waiting for someone to eventually stop by, which caused Ben and Charmcaster to tear up as they hugged the old lady and just praised her as best they could.

The cherry on top of the cake was how they both started calling her "grandma," which just made her even happier as she gave the duo some cookies, but Ben could only get some after he cleaned up after Charmcaster since she had already suffered enough.

Ben, of course, agreed to this and began cleaning everything up as best he could, and while he was moving stuff around, he suddenly found the alien blaster inside an empty tray of Chinese food that he had already moved out of the cubby.

Ben was just stunned, flabbergasted, amazed, and somehow bamboozled. "How the heck did it get here?" Ben wondered aloud, but he just pocketed the toy gun, as maybe he somehow got high, and he was just ignoring reality or whatever.

Finishing up the cleaning Ben went over to Grandma and grabbed a few cookies that he greatly enjoyed as Charmcaster hugged and thanked Ben as she happily ran upstairs as Grandma just watched with a smile, as finally she had someone to spend time with.

Now that Ben was done with his job, he walked out of the double doors with a smile on his face only to suddenly hear "Ah!" coming from in front of him, and he quickly found out that the sounds came from Julie and Kai, both of his first loves.

Rushing to help them up, Julie was very welcoming to Ben helping her, while Kai was more annoyed as she looked at him with disgust and swiped her hand away from Ben as quickly as she possibly could.

Ben wondered just why Kai was like this, as he didn't remember her being like this in his original dimension, and he could only think of two reasons for her sudden change. A) This was how she viewed this universe's version of himself. or B) She was always like this, and the only reason he didn't see it was because he was wearing nostalgia and rose-tinted glasses.

For now that didn't really matter, as Ben just wanted to help the girls since he did knock them all down on their asses, and he felt very bad for doing so, especially because he could see Julie's panties if she wasn't wearing spats.

When Ben let go of Julie's hand, she seemed a bit disappointed but quickly shifted gears and giggled a bit as Ben heard why they were both here on a Saturday night, and apparently both girls were doing a history project about their cultures.

As their history teacher wanted everyone in their class to show off what they think is the most interesting thing about their ancestors and show that no matter what they all think of their ancestors, everyone is the same at the end of the day.

Ben thought their assignment was very interesting, as it should lead to something interesting, but didn't really care that much about any of it since it's not like he was going to do any of that... maybe, as who knows what the future has in store.

While talking, things somehow went well enough that Julie and Ben managed to talk about possibly hanging out later, while Kai just looked annoyed any time Ben tried to be friendly with her and become friends.

Others might have thought Julie was flirting with Ben, but he knew better, or at least he thought he did, as from the little information he had of her before he changed the universe, she seemed to be a very friendly woman who just liked having fun and seemed to be very good at making friends.

"Oh crap! Is that the time!?" Realizing just how late it was, Ben quickly finished things up. "Look, Julie, uh... how about next time you have time off we meet up at the pier?" Ben said while tapping his foot, as he needed to get home.

"I'm free in three days, so how about we meet then?" Julie said with a smile, and Ben just gave a thumbs up as he dashed away as fast as he could, and once he was far enough, Julie started to reveal her real face.

For Julie was kind of like Gwen at the moment, a bit alright, more than a little crazy, as everything that just happened was something she created to be able to meet up with Ben and get a date from him.

Kai knew this, and she honestly had no idea why her best friend liked Ben, as everyone knows how weird his family is. "Yeah, it's more than a little weird, but I mean..." Julie trails off in thought as she giggles weirdly.

Ben, according to Julie at least, hit all her boxes, as she LOVED heroic men who liked helping other people, and combined that with his trained body and past with baseball and soccer, then he hit her two major points!

Everything else was apparently just an added bonus to what she was already looking for, and half the things were things Kai tried to say to get her to not like Ben from what she remembers him doing to her or for her when they first met all those years ago.

When Ben finally got home, he noticed that no one was home except, of course, Gwen, whom Ben somehow forgot, and just realized that one of the things he wanted to do at the library, since barely anyone visited on the weekends, was learn how to be a Dom for Gwen.
