Timeskip, and more classes!

The next couple passed with things continuing into go well for Jaune. Unfortunately, he never got the chance to meet Coco yet, so wasn't making a move on Velvet, but for now, he was more focused on getting good enough to beat Yang in a fight so he could make a move on her, as well as trying to prove he was competent to Weiss for the same reason.

Thankfully, both were going well as time passed, thanks to training and studying with his harem. He had struggled initially with grades due to not having studied in a previous setting, but the others were helping him catch up in that department. And his combat skills continued to improve from the point he had wished for the initial boost from Ruby.

And of course, not a day passed without at least one round of fun from at least one member of his harem. Ruby in particular was insatiable. Not surprising, she was literally a being with sexuality essentially defining her now.

Regardless, Jaune was once again in Professor Oobleck's class, recording his lightning fast lectures for playback later at a slower speed. He was getting the gist at least in real time as Oobleck talked about the most recent conflict between humans and Faunus. "Who here is familiar with the primary advantage the Faunus had when General Lagune attempted to ambush them at night?" the professor asked before sipping the coffee he clearly didn't need any more of.

A few students were at a loss, before Oobleck pointed at Cardin. "Mr. Winchester! Can you answer the question?"

Cardin shrugged. "I don't know. I guess it's just easier to train an animal to be a rabid beast than a human to be a soldier," he said carelessly. Needless to say, he got some **** glares for that, but to Jaune's disgust, some of the other students actually agreed with him.

"Incorrect!" Oobleck replied sharply. To his credit, there was clear disapproval in his tone. "Mr. Arc!"

"Um, er..." Jaune jumped in surprise at being called on. He hadn't read that section of his history book, so was at a loss. He didn't have context of this particular situation... But maybe he could guess it based on what he did know? He wracked his brains to try to remember every tidbit about Faunus Blake had mentioned. Then, a potential answer came to him. "Well, I know that a good number of Faunus have natural night vision, so... I'm guessing having multiple soldiers who could see just as well at night meant that that general guy's decision to try a night ambush backfire spectacularly?"

"That is correct!" Oobleck replied, making Jaune sag in relief in his chair as the lecture continued.

"Well, I guess General Lagune should have paid attention in class, rather than write off his opponents as not worth understanding, like some bozos here I could name, but won't," Pyrrha noted, though very obviously pointing at Cardin, who growled.

"And Mr. Winchester, see me after class!" Oobleck added.

Cardin growled at once again having let Jaune make him look foolish. Fighting him directly and bullying him was out of the question, maybe he could find something to **** him with?
