Time to join a club

After changing back into your clothes, this time rather uneventfully, you head out into the hallway. It's now time for club activities but as it's the first day of classes the hallways are filled with small tables and setups with people explaining their clubs to potential new recruits.

You walk down the hallways mindlessly browsing the various clubs, feeling a bit out of place, when you notice Kogane, and April talking. Excited to see somewhat familiar faces you walk over and exchange pleasantries.

"Oh, hey John! You join a club yet?" Said April.

"Well, um, not yet, I've just been looking around-"

"Perfect!" She cuts you off, "We need another member to keep our club going, and I would much rather not have to join a real club."

"A real club?" You repeat.

"That's right, join us and you won't have to actually do anything." April answers back.

You aren't sure if that's something she should be bragging about, you think you should ask what the club she's trying to sell you even is when Kogane speaks up.

"That's not true!" Says Kogane her voice higher than normal. "Our club is important!" She turns to you and blushes, "We, um, we investigate anomaly's."

"Yeah and when was the last time you've actually seen something worth investigating?" April retorts, "All we did last year was play games-"

"That's all you did," snaps Kogane, "Chika and I found a weird book, we think we might know what it's for now."

"Anyways, John..." April says dully, turning her attention to you, "are you going to join? You'd be doing me a huge favor." She clasps her hands together and smiles.

"Uh, sure..." You answer without really thinking about what you might be getting yourself into.

"Great!" Says April, "Kogane here will tell you everything you need to know. See ya!" And without another moment to lose April walks off.

You turn your attention back to to Kogane who is still looking at the corner April just disappeared around. "She's always doing that... No one else wanted to join our club last year and I letting her do whatever she wants was the only way to convince her." Kogane turns back to you and smiles coyly, "Thanks" she tells you blushing again.

Kogane speaks rather confidently when talking about her club, she tells you about where they meet and what they do, or rather what she and Chika do. She explains it started when she found a weird book.

Her story actually seems kind of interesting but before you know it club time is already over and Kogane is waving goodbye.
