Chapter 5 by FenFenScreeScree FenFenScreeScree

You have arrived at your destination.

Time to go.

So, you get up, shuffling along with everyone else. The group of students are all bunched up as one faculty member steps forward from the other six to address you all as a whole.

He stands at around 6'2" (188cm), weighing likely 200 pounds (90.7 kg), and even through his suit you can tell the man is well built. His hair is snow white and he wears a trimmed beard, with a prominent set of scars on his right cheek that look as though he'd been mauled by a wolf. The eye above it, as well, is milky white, visibly blind. This man exudes confidence and aggression, and when he speaks that only confirms it. "Good morning, students, new and returning," he says in a deep, rumbling, gravely voice.

"Welcome to Alpha and Omega University. My name is Doctor Jack Taylor, Dean of Students. For those of you unaware of what that means, essentially I am the voice of the student when it comes to managing academic and personal issues. I verify the adequacy of instruction, monitor academic integrity, confer degrees, and am responsible for student recruitment, admission, and academic progress. Here at the University I have an open door policy. If you have an issue, bring it to me, or one of my subordinate guidance counselors."

He looks over his shoulder at three of the men standing behind him as he names them. "Mister Stevenson, Mister Schneider, and Doctor Kelley. They speak for me, and I for them."

He returns his attention to the fore, and that piercing, violently blue left eye of his lasers in on you, through the rest of the crowd of students, as he continues his speech. If you didn't know better, you'd say the man was staring right into your soul. "Now, I will go over what you can come to expect at Alpha and Omega University, and what we will expect of you, in orientation. Follow me."

With that, he releases you from his gaze, making a sharp about-face in a blindingly fast motion, and takes a firm, steady stride towards the building closest to the group. "And don't worry about your luggage. When you select your dorm building and room, members of staff will bring it up for you, so long as you followed the instructions in your invitation letter to properly tag your property."

Continue on to the Auditorium
