She had to make a choice

She took a deep breath and sighed, but her decision had been made and she would carry it through. She grabbed each item, one by one, and tossed them in the bag. Then she tied it up, tied another bag around it and threw them all down the garbage chute, doing her best not to think about it. More than a few hundred dollars’ worth of toys she had gathered over the years, all gone. But when she returned, there was an optimism to her step.
