Thinking through what happened

As I enjoyed the hot water I let my mind wander. Thoughts of yesterday's debate soon reared their ugly head. My mood immediately darkened remembering Brandon's cocky attitude. The rest of the shower was spent searching for arguments that would wipe the smirk of his face.

As I came out of the bathroom, toweling my hair, Jessica gave me a remorseful look.

"I'm sorry Em. I really didn't mean to, it just happened."

I reassured her that we were good as I got dressed and started planning my day.
