They try going to see Midna, and this time it works.

Both wolves were unsure of how they could achieve their goal of returning to their own world and own bodies, until they drew close enough that, on each of one of their front paws, the symbol of the Triforce began to glow. The triangle representing each of their respective pieces glowed more strong than the rest. While Link still didn't know much about the ancient gift from the Goddesses, or the fact he and Zelda each carried one piece of it, Zelda did, and she knew Midna knew too.

Struck with the idea, Zelda took off, with Link following soon after. The two wolves sped through the forest and into the palace, not caring at all about being seen. Before anyone could stop the rampaging wild animals, they followed Midna's scent and found her, walking down a hallway. She looked at the wolves in surprise. "You again? And you brought...your mate?" But then Zelda extended a paw to her, and moved closer to Link. The symbols glowed through fur once more, and Midna gasped. "Zelda? Link?!"

Suddenly, the guards who had been chasing the pair reached them, though they were quickly becoming out of breath. "Shall we...take them...to Lashda...my Queen?" one asked, breathing heavily from the chase.

To both transformed Hylian's relief, the Queen of the Twilight Realm shook her head. "No, thank you. In fact, leave us alone. These wolves are more than they appear." For a second, it looked like the others were about to argue with her, but a royal look in their direction sent them running. "Come with me," she told them, and they dutifully followed her to a library. "I've been working on my magic since I came back, so hopefully I can help..."
