They take Trapp's advice

It will not surprise you to learn that the girls were never seen again.

Well, not in Pinkwhistle, anyway. And nobody really missed them. They were seen in all kinds of other places, doing all kinds of other things. But that's another story.

You see, Mr. Trapp had had a splendid idea. Every red-blooded American boy, and presumably red-blooded boys in other parts of the world, wanted to see their high school cheer team naked. And if they couldn't see their own cheer team naked, presumably someone else's cheer team would also be pretty good. So perhaps Trickett and Trapp's Carnival of Shadows could make the Naked Cheerleader Walk of Shame a permanent attraction. A squad of humiliated cheerleaders could walk around the carnival all night long, dressed in nothing but socks and pom-poms, or perhaps little skirts with nothing underneath. It would be a real crowdpleaser, except for a few stick-in-the-muds who cared about women's rights and silly things like that. Wouldn't you show up if somebody advertised a Naked Cheerleader Walk of Shame?

Of course, to do that you'd need a cheer team. And one was right here!

And, once you had a squad of cheerleaders who had entered your trailer, and in doing so permanently bound themselves to your service, you could do all kinds of other things with them. You could employ them as hootchy-kootchy dancers, pose them in the Wax Museum, use them in the special Midnight Show! You could even put one in the shooting gallery, targets rigged to rip off her prom dress, and write it on the poster - Three Bits to Strip the Homecoming Queen!

But, of course, nobody knows exactly what happened to the cheerleaders after the Walk of Shame. And nobody really cared.
