They stay and do their work

Anna’s bra dangled from the boy’s raised hand. Anna’s heart sank.

“Should we take them to the lost and found or something?”

“Just ignore them,” the girl said. “We need to get this work done.”

“One of us could go real quick and drop them off.”

“You’re just trying to get out of doing your share of the project. I’m not going to do the whole project by myself again.”

“Okay, fine,” the boy said with a huff. He placed them on the far corner of the table.

Whew! There was still hope. All Anna would have to do was wait over here until the bell rang. Then, they’d leave, and she’d grab her stuff and get away. Nothing could go wrong with that, right?
