They get the lay of the land

The three quickly change into their swimsuits. Jake and Ryan are wearing blue and yellow trunks, respectively, and Harper dons a rad and black one-piece swimsuit that fits her snugly despite her lack of curves. They grab three white towels from the closet in their room and make their way downstairs.

"Ooh, this pool must be like a magnet for hot chicks," Ryan mumbles when they reach the pool. He scans the area with his eyes and his mouth hangs open as he takes in the sight of so many gorgeous women. Harper and Jake exchange a look, both thinking the same thing. Ryan is going to be a handful this week.

Jake glances back at Harper, the two sharing a quiet laugh. They know Ryan will be in his element at the pool, the sight of all those girls is sure to get his motor running. They hope that Ryan can keep himself under control.

Harper eyes the pool uncomfortably. She knew coming here that she'd be outclassed by some women, it's spring break after all, but she wasn't expecting to be so outnumbered. Every women was like sex personified. They all had amazing curves, deep tans, and long flowing hair. Harper felt like she was walking into a frat boy's wet dream. Looking at the expression on Ryan, and now also Jake, Harper realizes it's actually probably closer to their wet dreams than anything they expected.

Ryan approaches one of the women by the pool and begins to chat her up. She's gorgeous and sexy with long red hair and a yellow string bikini and seems actively interested in whatever Ryan is saying. Harper and Jake both know where this is going to lead, and begin scanning the area for the woman's boyfriend. Ryan always has a knack for immediately getting himself into trouble. They look around, but don't notice anyone they could be her boyfriend. In fact, Harper doesn't notice any men at all.

"Jake," she says quietly, "There's only-"

"Yea," he replies, cutting her off but fully aware of what she was saying. They look back at Ryan, he's now sitting beside the buxom redhead and sticking out of the crowd of women like a sore thumb. Harper and Jake look at each other with raised eyebrows, both wondering where the guys are. They should probably stop Ryan before he makes a fool of himself, but they also want to see what happens.

As Ryan and the girl continue to talk, Harper sees a group of other women gathered off to the side, laughing and giggling amongst themselves. They haven't been able to catch any male attention, but they are watching Ryan with envy and interest.

"Hey, guys! I think I'm really hitting it off with this girl," Ryan says as he rejoins Harper and Jake. He's beaming and his smile is contagious, even though he's clearly up to no good. Despite the oddity of the pool's population, both Harper and Jake are happy to see their friend enjoying himself. "We're all going back to her place after, and she says she has some friends who want to party."

Harper and Jake don't want to rain on Ryan's parade, so they just smile. It's his spring break, he deserves to have fun.

"Well, that's fine, but I want to get in the pool first!" Harper says, "It's so much hotter here than it is at home, I can't wait to cool off."

"Oh, ok, well I told Monica I'd get her a drink," Ryan notes.

"Monica?" Jake looks at him in confusion, but Ryan just nods his head towards the redhead and rectifies Jake's confusion.

"Get me one too!" says Harper as she hands Jake her rolled up towel.

"You got it!" says Ryan. He also hands Jake his towel before scurrying off to the bar.

"I guess I'll find a place to put our towels..." says Jake looking around. Harper laughs before walking towards the pool.

Our characters have now split up, do they stay that way?
