"We need to leave," John stated. "Infected or not, we can't stay here. We have no idea how many zombies are inside the building or around town."
"You're right," the girl replied. "But do we have to do it now? I'm exhausted." John was pretty tired himself, no doubt an aftereffect of their sudden bout of intercourse.
"I think we can rest a bit," he replied. "We just gotta make sure that door is secure." The two disentangle, trying not to shudder as their genitals decouple. John walked to the door and looked out the peephole. The hallway was empty, and he couldn't hear any shuffling. It looks like their quickie didn't attract any of the undead to their hideout.
The girl went ahead and set up her bed. She climbed into bed without bothering to put on pajamas, then she held the blankets open and stared meaningfully at John.
"You're fine with us sharing a bed?" John asked sheepishly.
"We've done worse," the girl giggled.
"I don't even know your name," John laughed.
"I'm Hilary," the girl giggled. "What's your name?"
"John, though I was planning on going by Jane while dressed like this."
"It's nice to meet you, Jane," Hilary giggled before patting the empty side of her bed. John felt his cheeks flush as he crawled into the bed. Hilary draped the covers over both of them and snuggled up to her new friend.
John was a bit taken aback by how forward Hilary was being. Yeah, they just had sex, but it was a spur-of-the-moment thing brought about by... whatever the zombies did to them.
But on the other hand, when they woke up, they had to go through a world that had just gone to hell, and they both knew it. Maybe Hilary was taking comfort where she could find it?
Feeling a bit daring, John quickly pecked Hilary on the lips, and was delighted when she let out a little giggle and snuggled up closer to him. John wasn't sure what they were going to face later, but at least they'd have this quiet moment together.
