There’s some resistance

“Hello, everyone,” said Annabelle, standing at the head of the conference table. “I appreciate you all taking some time out of your day to come to this meeting. It is of utmost importance that we begin the steps that will get St. Mary’s back on track.”

“Well, what do you have in mind?” inquired Tabitha Grimsley, the Dean of Students at the school. Tabitha was 35 years old and had been the Dean for about 6 years. She was known for not tolerating disobedient students and did not appreciate that the new headmaster was trying to change the way the system worked. In truth, she saw it as a challenge to her methods.

“Firstly, I think we need to change the uniforms,” said Annabelle. “The current uniforms are too old-fashioned and do not give us the control we need to exert over the students. These girls are eighteen. They need outfits that fit the level of maturity that they are expected to have.”

The other members of the meeting grumbled under their breath. The current uniforms had been around since the start of the school. Sure, they were slightly longer and less revealing than most outfits at similar schools, but they still were not conservative by any stretch of the definition.

“I know this change is going to be controversial, but I think a merit based system that rewards good students with uniform options and punished bad students will encourage better grades and behavior,” continued Annabelle. “For the base outfit, I propose that we have them wear a sheer white button down shirt. We will also have them wear suspenders with a short skirt that will cover approximately half of their butt. No underwear or bras will be allowed. The footwear will be simple flat shoes with no socks.”

“This dress code will keep the girls relatively exposed so they cannot hide anything or hide their bodies. We will also be implementing punishments that will involve the removal of clothing as well. Any questions?”

“What will the girls be expected to do during cold weather?” asked Susie Louis, the school nurse.

“They will be allowed to wear a clear coat until they get inside. Then, they are expected to be in uniform.”

The murmurs of the other people in the room continued, but, overall, they seemed satisfied with the uniform adjustments.

“Okay, now onto the other disciplinary punishments we will be changing and adding.”
