The machine started its mechanical hum upward, and suddenly a tune came on the radio. It was Jackson Browne’s “Somebody’s Baby,” and immediately Selina smiled, “I remember this song,” she said. Thinking now might be the time for some romance, Jonny took Selina by the hand and put his other hand on her waist. She smiled and blushed in pleasant surprise as the two danced about in the elevator. “You’ve got the moves of a man three times your age; are you sure you’re 18?” Selina said. “Not exactly,” Jonny said with a chuckle as he moved his hand from her hip down to her ass cheek and gave it a good, sexy squeeze. “Oh!” she exclaimed, jumping with surprise, but not seeming to mind at all. Her hips swayed sexily back and forth as she moved her beautiful face close to Jonny’s, staring longingly into his eyes.

“Ding!” went the elevator buzzer, and the doors opened. Selina and Jonny pried themselves apart, “We’ll finish this later,” she said with a sexy smile. The two exited the elevator as the song came to close and stepped out on to the roof of the grand skyscraper that seemed to keep watch over the whole city. As dusk fell, lights dotted the beautiful horizon as the city hummed with activity far below. "I’m going to go get a drink,” Jonny said as the entourage assembled with the lectern situated before the TV cameras. The Mayor sat quietly at a chair along with other local dignitaries, and Jonny just really wanted a good seat. Officer Brown had positioned his impressive frame a few feet from the place of honor the mayor would soon take, and his fellow guard Sletkov, a burly Polish man with a gray beard and a stone face, stood just a few feet away. Jonny watched for a few minutes as lesser officials came up and said a few words for the cameras, mostly just happy to get a photo op. “Finally, the main event!” Jonny said as the last of these shuffled off the stage.

The Mayor stood, she being a woman of about 62 with greying hair and an aged but determined face. Applause erupted from the crowd as she took her place behind the collection of microphones the lectern held. “Thank you all,” she said as she waived pleasantly to the crowd. Jonny watched Officer Brown like a hawk. “Any second now,” he said. The Mayor began, “I’d like to thank you all for coming tonight, and I would like to talk of the amazing progress of our fair city,” she began. Jonny glanced up toward Officer Brown and, in his eyes, he beheld a tiny glimmer of red. Without a word, the big man drew his sidearm and fired one shot into the head of officer Slitkov, who crumpled to the ground without so much as whimper. “Aaahhh!” the Mayor screamed as the burly officer grabbed her from behind, lifting the little old Mayor clean off the ground and putting her in a kind of chokehold. She gurgled and struck at the policeman’s arm, but to no avail. “EVERYBODY BACK!” Brown screamed, a deranged look in his eye. “That’s my boy,” Jonny said as the officer raged about, firing off various bullets at other high-ranking officials as they, being stuck in front of a large bank of people, could likely not escape. “EVERYBODY BACK OR SHE GETS IT!” he screamed, motioning to the Mayor as she sobbed. Screams still erupted all around Jonny as he watched his creation do his work. Everybody ran; many were shot, while others were trampled as they tried to escape. Within mere seconds, all the bullets but one were fired from Brown’s gun. He effortlessly tossed the tiny hostage aside, and she was pulled to safety. By now a wall of police had assembled before Brown. “DROP THE WEAPON NOW!” came the call from the cops. Brown was undeterred. He pointed his gun in the direction of the cops and began to walk toward them. “THIS IS FOR JM!” he screamed just before a hale of police bullets pierced his gargantuan body. The big man’s blood spattered all over the roof as he crumpled into a heap on the floor, his body now lifeless.
