The paths before you

You squint in the dim, pulsating light that emanates from strange crystalline growths embedded in the walls. The corridor stretches before you, its stone surfaces covered in elaborate carvings depicting nude figures engaged in various acts of fertility worship. You attempt to study the ground and walls for trip wires, pressure plates, or any other obvious mechanisms, but your inexperienced eyes struggle to make sense of the ancient architecture.

As you take a hesitant step forward, your boot presses down on what seemed like an ordinary stone tile. It sinks with an ominous click. Before you can react, a fine mist erupts from the mouths of carved stone faces lining the walls. You instinctively hold your breath, but the sweet-smelling vapor is already caressing your skin, seeping through your pores.

A pleasant warmth spreads through your body, focusing intensely in your lower abdomen and breasts. "What... what's happening to me?" you gasp, watching in alarm as your modest chest begins to swell against your tank top. The fabric stretches uncomfortably as your breasts grow fuller, heavier, more sensitive. You feel your nipples hardening painfully against the fabric, sending unexpected pulses of pleasure through your body.

"This can't be real," you whisper, but the sensations are undeniable. Your body feels different—more sensitive, more receptive. Your womb seems to pulse with a new awareness, a hollow ache that wasn't there before. You realize with horror that whatever was in that mist has done something to your birth control implant; you can feel it dissolving, becoming inert under your skin.

As the mist dissipates, you notice that the corridor has opened into a small antechamber. At its center stands a stone altar carved in the shape of a woman on her hands and knees, her stone face frozen in ecstasy. Behind the altar, you see two doorways. Above the left one, a carving depicts a woman with exaggeratedly large breasts and wide hips. Above the right, a carving shows a woman with a blissful, mindless expression, surrounded by phallic symbols.

On the altar lies a clay tablet covered in strange glyphs. As you approach, the symbols rearrange themselves into words you can somehow understand: "Choose your path, seeker. The path of the vessel, or the path of surrender. Only through transformation will you reach the heart of the temple."
