The next morning

Aqua was back... wearing a maid uniform. "...pfht.... hahahahahaha!" Kazuma exclaimed as he saw it. "What's going on with you? Luna rope you into working to pay off your tab!?"

"Yes!" Aqua sobbed. "I have to bus and wait tables! This is beneath me as a Goddess!"

"Aren't you a genie now, too?" Kazuma asked, sipping some water. "This suits you well... Side note, you do look great in that outfit... You should ask Luna if you can keep it after."

"Yes Master, I'll ask," Aqua said looking a bit different than normal. She seemed mildly less bratty even if only slightly.

"So is there anything you need before I go meet Luna?" She asked.

"Nope," he replied. "I'm just off to take Megumin to take another crack at that castle. She took the fact that her Explosion did no damage to it as a challenge," he added with some amusement.

"Probably some old wards placed on the place," Darkness noted, kneeling nude nearby Kazuma.

"Probably," he agreed, before going to meet Megumin.

As he was walking with Megumin in the woods he contemplated why Darkness was nude. He didn't order it. Maybe she was saying she wanted sex? Hmmm. Was it wrong to leave her without a comment. Ah, whatever. She's probably into the denial play.

"I don't trust that face. What are you thinking about," Megumin asked as they got close to the castle.

"Meh, just Darkness being naked. Probably should have given her a quickie," he remarked. "Meh, doubt she'll hold a grudge over denying her for a bit."

With that, they concluded their business of blasting the castle, but still did no damage, making Megumin pout as Kazuma carried her back.

The following week passed in a similar manner, with Kazuma helping Megumin vent her need to let off an explosion, and Aqua working for Luna, and doing her best to get out of it. She even came up with a few Get Rich Quick Schemes that didn't involve selling the wine a few days in. First, she tried selling pure water... which was foiled by a monk using the Create Water spell, and giving it out for free. Predictably, Aqua did not take this well, and attacked the monk in a blind rage. And promptly got arrested.

After being let out the next day, she tried crafting soaps... which she was actually good at, even making accurate figurines of herself and Darkness, with clothes that melted off as the soaps were used... only for a law enforcement officer to appear about the indecent soaps. Aqua initially looked like she was going to be able to talk her way out of it when the officer turned out to be a pervert. Only for a female officer to show up, and Kazuma threw Aqua under the bus with zero hesitation. She promptly got arrested.

Upon her next release the next day, she came up with what Kazuma thought was a **** scheme, but he had to admit, it was actually clever when she brought up his Luck stat: lottery tickets. Unfortunately, even with Aqua using Blessing to boost the living daylights out of his Luck, they only won one of the tickets. And even worse, it had a special, useless novelty prize, an object from another world: Kazuma's to be specific, and it was a cell phone... useless in this world. Aqua lost her shit, and attacked the prize manager... and promptly got arrested.

"So... you done trying to weasel your way out of debt?" Kazuma asked Aqua when she got back from jail the next morning, pouting heavily.

"Yes..." she sobbed. "I'm tired of going to jail..."

"Good, because that gag was actually starting to get old," Kazuma snorted. Before Aqua could reply, a siren went off, the Guild Hall's Emergency Quest signal.

"ATTENTION, ALL ACTIVE ADVENTURERS! CONVERGE ON THE MAIN GATE OF AXEL TOWN! TOP LEVEL THREAT INBOUND!" the Guild Announcer's voice blared through the whole town.

"What's going on?" Kazuma asked, his eyes wide.
